Blimey, it’s getting colder isn’t it. Autumn has well and truly hit us and the crisp colder days are here. I love this time of year. I know where I am with an autumn essentials wardrobe and I love being a little more decadent with the layering of products to protect my skin from the elements. L’Occitane have once again made sure that I have everything I need for the next few months and have upped my skincare and beauty game with a collection of autumn products that I have been thoroughly enjoying. Quickly becoming my go to brand, L’Occitane literally have it all. The autumn essentials that I will be keeping close by are all dressed up in yellow, with beautiful scents and well thought out products.

L'Occitane Autumn Essentials

L’Occitane The Petit Remedy

When I was a girl, my mum always made sure that I had a mini pot of Astral cream and small tin of Vaseline in my coat pocket throughout autumn winter. Whether it was to soothe chapped lips, keep skin moisturised or to protect me from the elements, I will never forget having these in my pocket. The Petit Remedy is an all in one; a multi purpose beauty balm that can be used for a manner of different needs. It nourishes, protects and soothes without any mineral oil, petroleum, artificial fragrance or colouring. As soon as the Petit Remedy hits warm skin it transforms from a solid balm to a silky oil. With the iconic Immortelle and Lavender scent, it’s a truly wonderful little product that I am going to keep in my coat pocket, just like the old days.

L’Occitane Citrus Verbena Hand Gel Cream

To go alongside my Petit Remedy, I’m keeping a hand cream in my coat pocket too. I can’t tell you how many of these hand creams from L’Occitane that I have. I adore them. The gel cream soaks into skin quickly, leaving hands nourished and protected with a silky soft veil. The citrus verbena scent is perfect for this time of year; fresh, zingy and almost sparkling with lemon essential oils and grapefruit extract. I do love a good citrus blend in my autumn essentials.

L’Occitane Happy Shea Ultra Light Body Cream

For years I have used another brand who have a soy whipped body cream, but since taking delivery of the Happy Shea body cream, I have jumped ship. This has the most beautiful whipped texture that soaks into the skin with ease and leaves my skin feeling nourished and hydrated. Wearing plenty of layers and opaque tights has been leaving my skin feeling much tighter and drier than usual so to get it back to a smooth and supple, hydrated condition is much needed. It’s such a light cream that I didn’t expect it to be as hydrating as it is. Truly wonderful product and I’m so pleased that I have tried it.

L’Occitane Osmanthus Eau de Toilette

This is my second fragrance from L’Occitane and I’m shocked that I have never looked more closely at their fragrance range. Osmanthus is such a wonderful ingredient for a perfume. Jo Malone used to do a beautiful Osmanthus Blossom cologne and I’ve never found anything similar to it until now. It’s a very delicate fragrance but the Osmanthus shines through with it’s unique scent. The top notes are of apricot, pear and bitter orange before opening onto heart notes of Osmanthus and carrot seed. Once warmed on the skin, the base of cedarwood and Sandalwood with Ambrettolide gives a beautiful lasting fragrance. I love the green freshness, floral heart and creamy woodiness on the dry down with longevity of a good 6 or 7 hours. It’s beautiful and I’m thoroughly enjoying wearing it.

L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream

A few months ago I started to use the Immortelle Divine Eye and Lip Contour cream, my first product from the Immortelle range. It’s done wonders for my lips so I did want to experience more of the range. Adding in the Immortelle Divine Cream has been somewhat of a delight. This cream sits on my desk whilst I work and whenever I feel like I need an extra boost, I add a little more. The radiance and glow that comes from this cream is joyous. It melts into the skin, attacking fine lines and wrinkles, improving skins firmness and elasticity and makes my skin look bright and more toned. It’s a bit of a wonder cream and I have been really impressed so far. I can’t wait to add more of the Immortelle to my collection.
