I really wish that I had been able to share this earlier as the new L’Occitane Mint Verbena collection is limited edition and stocks are running low. A summer launch from L’Occitane that has given me a much needed refresh with a modern twist on the classic Verbena collection. I do believe this is a re-release as the previous launch was so successful so let’s hope that the L’Occitane Mint Verbena collection stays around for good in future. Verbena is a beautiful range in it’s entirety but add in a mouth watering minty freshness and this invigorating scent will see you through the last few days of the Indian summer before we step back into the autumn months.

L’Occitane Mint Verbena Eau de Toilette

I’ve completely fallen for this fragrance. It reminds me of something from my past, of which I’m not sure of and each spray is a breath of fresh air. It’s unisex so can be shared with your partner or significant other and it’s reminiscent of warm holiday evenings, relaxing as the sun goes down. The fragrance opens with top notes of lime grapefruit; a citrus zing that pops out the heart of verbena and spearmint. It’s a unique but delicious fragrance that warms into a spicier base on me. White wood and musk sits beautifully on the skin. Effortless, fresh and evoking memories of summer. I think it needs to be made into the permanent collection as it’s just wonderful.

Mint Verbena Exfoliating Shower Gel

If you have any trouble in waking yourself up in a morning then the Mint Verbena shower gel is the one for you. Unlike another mint shower gel from another brand, this one is very different. Aside from the luxurious aspect, it also has a more subtle mint scent that’s almost sparkling. The scent it leaves on the skin lasts so long and my skin feels so clean without being tight or dry. It’s definitely a waker upper – mornings would not be the same without it!

Mint Verbena Body Ice Gel

Do you remember that ridiculous heatwave we had? The one where it was hitting highs of 28 and 29 degrees. Yes, it was equal parts wonderful and awful because it was just so hot. The only thing that got me through it was the body Ice gel. This is one of the most unusual products that I have tried and the after effect is almost like being plunged into an ice bath. It’s so incredibly cooling and makes skin feel icy cold but without altering your body temperature. It’s been perfect for this summer and I will definitely be taking it into next summer to keep me cool and calm, whilst making me feel invigorated.

Mint Verbena Hand Cream

Ooh I do love a good hand cream and this little beauty is a delight. Its a light gel cream that has the same fresh and aromatic scent as the other products in the range. A little goes a long way and whilst it doesn’t have the icy feeling of the Body Ice Gel, it’s still cooling and soothing. I’m almost out of the mint verbena as I have been using it a lot but one thing that I have discovered is just how much I love L’Occitane hand creams for hydrating my hands and leaving them silky smooth without making them slippery or greasy. The ideal desk companion.

I am sad that this collection is limited edition because it’s absolutely wonderful. I really do hope that when it does come back for next summer it does get put in the permanent collection.
