It takes a lot when it comes to makeup releases to stop me in my tracks so you can imagine the scenes when I cast my eyes on the Karla Cosmetics Multi Chromes. I first came across Karla back in the early days when I started blogging, so around 2013. Karla was a brand ambassador for MUA Cosmetics and later Crown Brush. I remember seeing Karla’s work when taking part in a competition for Illamasqua and was blown away by her talent. Her body of work in cosmetics is unreal, and the creativity that she displays is awe inspiring and for her to release her own line of cosmetics was just a natural progression, and what she has brought to the beauty world is undeniably unique and innovative.

I’ve started on my Karla Cosmetics journey with two of the Multi Chrome shadows; Snooze in a pressed powder and Lullaby in a Shadow Potion. The eyeshadows are extremely unique in their super fine, colour shifting formulations. A little goes a long way and it’s so much fun creating looks that colour shift in certain lights. As they are multi tonal, they can shift to up to four colours, and as they do not interface with each other, they are very unique. Each shade within in the Multi Chrome collection has bed time inspired names which are so cute.

Snooze, the pressed multi chrome runs from olive to bronze, pink then purple. I find that when using this, I need to apply over a primer or mixing medium as it’s quite slippery. Over the right base, it settles down for maximum impact and unbelievable colour pay off.

I chose Lullaby in the Shadow Potion as I fell in love with the looks I was seeing over on the ‘gram and I’m really pleased I picked one up. Lullaby has to be the most beautiful shade in the range with its green, blue, purple, pink shift. With my love of colour, this is definitely ticking all my boxes. The Shadow Potion is a combination of Karla’s Fix Potion and the loose pigments. It would be handy to have a pot of Fix Potion for me to use with Snooze pressed powder.

I love how Shadow Potion dries down and doesn’t budge once applied, so you are safe in the knowledge that you won’t loose any shadow during the day. I have been using it as a fun alternative to black liner too. It certainly makes an impact on what would be a boring eye look.

I have had so much fun playing around with Lullaby Shadow Potion, and I shall let the work itself do the talking.

Lullaby is on pre order at Karla Cosmetics but back in stock shortly
