Too Faced features quite heavily throughout Anoushka Loves and for the simple reason of the fact that I love the brand so much. Each release has me waiting in anticipation to be able to treat myself and there are several holy grail items that I will hold dearly for as long as they continue to make them. One of the newer releases is the Too Faced Killer Liner; a collection of 11 waterproof liners in a plethora of shades that once applied do not budge. When I say these are game changing, they are GAME CHANGING!

It’s not very often that I would wear a pencil liner. I’m a felt tip pen liner girl for my super slick black wings, but as with most things, this last 15 months has brought some changes to how I do my make up. I’ve come to love how a smudged black liner looks on me and when it comes to colour and vibrant pops, Too Faced have smashed it out of the park. The Too Faced Killer Liners promises a waterproof, fade proof colour with 36 hour wear in all the shades. You know I love colour, so receiving every shade was a dream come true and I have been playing with the vibrant hues and classic colours to enhance each look I do.
A gel texture that dries down matte, the liners apply easily and smoothly on the lid without dragging, tugging or pulling and make light work of creating a wing. Work quickly as once they’ve dried down, they do not budge. A pencil brush helps smudge out your liner and I adore these for waterline work as they literally do not move. I don’t think I’ve ever found a liner that stays in my waterline without congregating in the corner of my eye, looking like a messy blob. They also work really well for creating faux freckles with the brown shades looking the most natural.
I did have a read around of the reviews and it seems that everyone raves over these as much as I am. Strangely, I did see a lot of reviews saying that you are paying for a tip of pencil and once it’s gone, you can’t sharpen them. The pencil is in a plastic outer casing but I didn’t see any reason as to why you couldn’t sharpen them, so grabbing my trusty Nars double pencil sharpener (which is quite the staple in my makeup bag and the sharpener I recommend to everyone), I slipped the Too Faced Killer Liner in and was expecting a clunk and the inability to sharpen based on the reviews. However, what I found is that it sharpened with no issues, the casing whilst plastic is very thin and will go through a cosmetic sharpener with ease and I got the liner to a fine point with no damage to the casing. Easy peasy!
When it comes to the wear test, I couldn’t try it around my eyes for 36 hours so I left the swatches on my arm. I showered and washed my hands but didn’t put any pressure near the colours and they held tight. I have never seen a product that clings to the skin so well. I need an oil based remover to take the product off fully but at least we know what we need to be wearing when we are out on our 3 day bender on the 21st June.

Hi
So this might be a stupid question, but with the sharpening of this eyeliner, is it then bc it’s thinner, it’ll eventually slide out of the tube so you’re able to use more product? This usually use liquid liner so this is a whole new product for me.
Not a stupid question at all! It’s just a normal pencil and you’d sharpen like you would a pencil. It doesn’t get thinner and slide out of the tube but just sharpens down as a pencil would! Mine is getting quite small now! It’s a really good pencil for waterline and a smudged smokey eye look x
