Too Faced Melted Matte Lipsticks – New Shades!

Just when we thought we had had enough of 2020 and things were going from bad to worse, the news came to me that that Too Faced had finally opened up a UK site for our shopping pleasure. I cannot tell you just how long I’ve been waiting for this and now we are seeing more and more standalone Too Faced stores in the UK, I’m so pleased for how one of my favourite brands is growing. That also means that products that are difficult to get hold such as the Clover collection are now readily accessible from Too Faced. Too Faced really are the gift that keeps on giving.

I’ve always loved the Melted Matte range with Bend and Snap! being one of my most used shades. With liquid lipsticks, there are only a small handful of brands that I will buy from due to their formulations, stay power and way of not drying out my lips, leaving them feeling tight and uncomfortable. Melted Matte contains VoluLip for a no sting plumping and smoothing effect, with Avocado Oil, Vitamin E and Hyaluronic filling spheres to moisturise and smooth lips.

In terms of staying power, and in the days where we are wearing masks when outdoors, you can be certain that your perfect pout will stay put whilst your mask is on but won’t leave you looking like the joker when you come to remove it. Longevity of wear is a good 6 hours. It does tend to fade from the middle of the lip out with eating and drinking but overall, it really holds well.

The new shade ranges is made up of 13 brand new shades, in a range of nudes, neutrals , warmed tones and deeper tones. I have Stay The Night! (which is quite ironic as we aren’t allowed to mix households at the moment), Strawberry Hills and Prissy. I also have my eye on Social Fatigue, mainly for the name but also because it’s my kind of perfect nude. They’re all very autumnal shades; warm and almost muted. Even the brighter shades have a lovely subtly about them so they’re not too in your face. I’ve always been a sucker for a pink lipstick. And red. And a nude.
