Ooh another Tom Ford to swoon over and today it is the Lip Colour Sheer in Paradiso. I recently posted about the new Spring 2014 line and the beauty of the limited edition white and gold packaging and the uniqueness of the bevelled edge of the lipstick, but what I did not prepare myself for was the actual beauty of these lip colours in reality.
Tom Ford Paradiso (although I want to call it Paradisco like my favourite MAC shadow) is a medium pink coral with a beautiful lustre finish. I had reservations about the sheerness of the lip colour however after swatching, I have decided that the formula is very much like the YSL Rouge Volupté Shine lipsticks, which I absolutely adore. I think I am really getting into sheerer lipsticks as opposed to the bright opaque colours I tend to favour. The lip colour feels moisturising and hydrating and also lovely and slick on my lips. I have been wearing it over the last day to get a good sense of longevity and wear, and so far so good. It doesn’t have the longest wear time, but averages out over 2 and a half hours with eating and drinking. The bevelled edge of the lip colour helps achieve a precise application and it glides onto your lips with ease. The lip colour is so soft and beautiful that the embossed TF is already disappearing from the top of the bullet.
There’s nothing better than owning a Tom Ford lipstick or two and if you are on the look out for a vivid summer bright or a sexy shimmering nude then the Tom Ford Spring Collection is just too beautiful. As I mentioned in my last post about this collection, I had already ear marked Paradiso and Incorrigable from just the pictures, and they are definitely the ones that I wanted as soon as I saw them.
Tom Ford Paradiso is available from Selfridges until June.
