Thinking back to all of the lipsticks that I have swatched for you over the last three years, I don’t think that I’ve ever done any of my Too Faced Melted Lipsticks. Which is bizarre to me, as I have loads. You’ll see that there’s a bit of a common theme in my lipsticks that I’ve been posting and that is that they’re all liquid lipsticks. I’m obsessed with Anastasia Beverly Hills, I have a new found love for Kylie Lip Kits and I’m continuously adding to my Too Faced collection. Too Faced is one of my favourite brands, from its cute and kitsch packaging to the amazing products that they are bringing out. I’ve been collecting Too Faced for some time, especially those gorgeous Christmas exclusives from the States. Here’s this weeks new nude, the Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Chocolate Honey.
The Too Faced Melted Lipstick range is quite extensive with 18 shades in the original Melted, 8 shades in Melted Metallic and now six brand new shades in the Melted Chocolate. I’m on a serious mission to collect them all, and only have around 25 to go. The Melted Chocolate range has not only brought out a range of chocolatey shades that are so on trend at the moment, but the scent of the lipstick has the most delicious chocolate milkshake scent. The scent does’t last that long on the lips, which isn’t an issue in my eyes, as the only longevity I’m concerned about is wear time.
Each liquid lipstick from the range is packaged in a 12ml tube, with a precision tip applicator that saves on wastage and helps with perfect application. The liquid lipstick is an intense burst of saturated colour, that applies evenly with a high gloss shine and a slick, opaque coverage. Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Chocolate Honey is the perfect nude shade, and although recently I have been wearing Melted Chihuahua as a go to nude, Chocolate Honey has taken over. It has warm peachy, golden tones within the shade and it’s really flattering for a medium brown toned lipstick. I averaged around 4 hours of wear with Chocolate Honey, and I didn’t get any drying out of the lips. It’s not a hydrating or a moisturising lipstick, but I love how the glossiness of the shade stays put during the wear and doesn’t mattify or settle into lines.
Too Faced has become quite elusive in the UK, however Debenhams do stock the full range of products, including the Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Chocolate Honey. US sites including Too Faced and Sephora both ship to the UK however customs charges will be applied.
Have you tried any of the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks? What do you think?
