Most people have a desire to see the world we live in. There are so many different countries, each with their beautiful nature and varied cultural scenes and experiences. However, the temptation can be to fly into an area and see that city or landscape. This can be for many reasons, such as time limitations. But in flying over a continent to a destination hotspot, you completely miss out on the experience of seeing the lesser traveled areas. Areas which arguably have more to offer in terms of difference and variety, due to being more remote. Going from one place to another by car gives you that unbeatable chance to create unique memories that many crave. You do not know what you will see when you travel through some dark forest in remote Germany, for example. The car gives you that freedom, that sense of the wind in your hair, that can transcend the now and send you back to your carefree days. If time is a limiter, think about an extended holiday, we all need to relax and get back to ourselves. Okay, so with that in mind, here are some great road trip adventures:
Perth, Australia
Australia is a vast, beautiful country with so much to see. Why not then go on a road trip from Perth to Esperance? Fair enough, you may have to fly in, but once you are there, you can do some real exploring. Ever fancies seeing a kangaroo in its natural habitat, of these long roads that go as far as the eye can see? There is such a sense of freedom in the vastness that is Australia. You will not be disappointed by traveling from coast to coast. And for those of you you are limited for time, this trip can take as little as 7 – 10 days.
British Columbia, Canada
There is something so magical about the Highway 99 trip in the world’s second-largest country. It is not called the sea to sky country for no reason. If you want to see mountains and rainforest, waterfalls and breathtaking views, this is the journey for you. You will start the 125km route in Vancouver and never look back. This is a diverse journey that will propel you through a range of emotions. There will be chances to learn about aboriginal culture along the way too. Do not forget your camera.
San Pedro de Atacama, Chile
South America is a wonder, and Chile is no exception. San Pedro de Atacama is located on a high arid plateau, which is something to witness in itself, and that is just the start. As you travel on your journey, you will see a landscape that incorporates many eye-opening wonders. These include the desert, boundless salt flats, volcanoes, beautiful geysers spurting out boiling water, showering the world, and the hot spring to tempt you into another world.
