What Could You Tick Off Your List This Year?

At the start of the year, it’s important to have a ‘glass half full’ attitude so, instead of focusing on the things you didn’t do last year, why not focus on things that you can start doing in your life right now? They don’t have to be huge accomplishments like completing a degree or climbing Everest, but a couple of small changes or achievements still have the power to change your life!

So, what could you start ticking off your list this year to make you feel proud and accomplished?

Do One Thing You’re Scared Of

Anything from skydiving to singing at karaoke night or performing stand up. If there’s something you want to do, but always have been too scared to bite the bullet and do it now. You just need a little organization, a lot of courage and a big leap of faith.

Make Your House A Home

Do you still have that clothing rail in your room for all your clothes? The ones you meant to transfer to a wardrobe? Are you still using that small table to rest your TV on instead of a TV stand, because you just never got around to doing it? Take steps to renovating your apartment now, do those little niggly jobs that you have meant to get sorted, and you’ll feel great for it.

Get The Job You Really Want

It’s time to stop being miserable every day; no amount of money is worth it. If you know what you want to do, then now is the time to take steps to go for it. It might be a challenge, and you may get disheartened along the way, but getting a job you love will be totally worth it. If you don’t know what you want to do, then it’s time to start working it out.

Walk Away From Toxic Relationships

A friend, colleague, boss, partner, or just someone you see on a regular basis who doesn’t make you feel good, get rid. If there’s anyone that makes you feel negative, bad about yourself, or simply drained after you’ve spent time with them, then life is too short, and it’s time to cut ties. You could try talking about it with them and remedying the situation, but if that doesn’t work, then make a permanent break, you’ll thank yourself.

Go To A Place You’ve Always Wanted To See

Whether it’s a holiday or a day trip, is there somewhere that you have always wanted to go? Book it, organize it, and look forward to it. It may cost a lot of money, but if it’s somewhere you’ve always wanted to go, and the result is an experience of a lifetime and memories you’ll have forever, then it’s definitely worth it.

Tell The People You Love That You Love Them

Whether it’s a romantic interest who doesn’t know how you feel or simply telling your Mum or sister that you love them more often, do it! Telling people you love them should be something you often do, it’s lovely to hear, and it’s always nice to make sure that they know.
