I’ve been trying to update and replace items of furniture in my house lately. Although I’ve been living here for eight years, I still haven’t got it how I want it. At the moment, my living room is my favourite project and I’m going for a more vintage, shabby chic look since I had a coffee table commissioned. The room is such a large space that really lets the sun in and opens up onto my own personal balcony. I have the most comfortable corner sofa and I love textures and different materials. New mixed with old, up-cycled items amongst modern lamps, cream candles with duck egg blue holders. Coasters that I picked up in India, handmade plaques and fairy lights make it a very cosy room. It just needs a few finishing touches and items of furniture to complete the look and I’ll not want to leave the house.I’ve been browsing through Wayfair.co.uk and I am amazed at just how many pieces of furniture there are that would work so beautifully in my lounge. I’ve chosen six of my favourite pieces from the website, that will tie in to existing pieces and would complete the whole look. The website has everything from furniture to soft furnishing for all rooms in the house, not just the living room. The first item I want to get is a new TV stand, and replace the black, modern glass stand that I have at the moment.
