Tom Ford Pink Glow Eye and Cheek Compact – Limited Edition
I often sit back and look at my make up collection and wonder why I buy things that I daren’t use. These things usually include ridiculously priced limited editions compacts and special sets. Remember the limited edition Dior compacts? Yup, I had the majority. Remember last years Chanel highlighter with the lace effect pattern? Still untouched. This years ‘Untouchable Award’ goes to the Tom Ford Pink Glow Eye and Cheek Compact from the Soleil 2015 collection, and yes, it is still pretty much untouched.
Back in May, the 2015 Soleil Collection by Tom Ford was released. I love how the Summer collections feature the white and gold casing, and I think I prefer it over usual black and gold colour scheme that we instantly recognise from Tom Ford. The collection, like last years, draws attention to sun kissed, summer skin and that golden glow that we all strive to achieve each year. There was only one item I wanted this year and unbelievably, I got the last one from Selfridges when I went in store. The compact contains three eyeshadows and two blush colours, all wrapped up in gold.
If I was to use the compact, the massive mirror is a plus point and the sizes of the shades are also lovely and large. It also feels overly indulgent with its soft white velour pouch to illiminate any stractches if you were to carry it around in your bag.
The shadows range from a warm milky beige with shimmer, a sparkly gold that when swatched feels like it has a gel like formula, and a plummy red, with warm berry undertones and slight shimmer. They would work with any skin tone, and I think with a tan these would really enhance the eyes. The plummyness of the bottom shade would also look amazing on green eyes, as these sort of colours make my eye colour look emerald like.
The blush shades are incredible. A peachy pink with a fine golden shimmer that would work on its own, as a highlight or layered over the top of the second blush. The second blush is a more plummy toned colour, which you would associate more with Autumn/Winter but in reality, it’s a very luminous and a little goes a long way.
I’m really looking forward to that day when I take the plunge and actually use the Tom Ford Pink Glow Eye and Cheek Compact, as I think it will be a momentous day. Until then, I can sit and swoon. God bless you Tom Ford, you make me very happy.

Don’t blame ya, I’d have a hard time using it as well. But i have to say there aren’t many things in my collection that remain untouched as such. Which I suppose I’m proud of, lol. #makeupjunkie
