Covid-19: What next for Anoushka Loves
Hope everyone is staying safe and most importantly staying indoors whilst we are on lock down. A completely unprecedented situation that has literally changed everything. This post today will be short and sweet and I’m just touching upon a conversation that I had on Instagram Stories on Monday about how things will be changing over the next few weeks until we start to see some sort of normality.

Due to the huge effect that COVID-19 has had on the way the world is working, many people have been put on furlough which is basically a leave period where the government will pay 80% of your monthly wage. Speaking to my friends in PR, it seems that there are many more of us sat at home on furlough that I originally thought. Whilst I am at home, my time is going to be spent wisely and I do want to create content that goes in line with the current economic state that we are in.
From this week on, I won’t be accepting any new products nor will I be unnecessarily ordering things that I don’t need. I don’t want to be contributing to someone else having to work more and not being safe at home. There is no need to have a brand new lounge wear wardrobe to stay indoors on your own! Aside from the parcels that have still not been delivered, any new releases and updates will not be being shared at this time. I also don’t want to be contributing to the limitations that brands will have from working at home, in terms of having to leave the house to send out parcels of products that aren’t essential.
I’m feeling a lot more creative and happy with this back to basics mentality and I can’t wait to start afresh with the products that I already have and that have been overlooked. I’ve said this before but the old school way of blogging was a much simpler time, before the life of being Instagram famous and having an Instagrammable home and lifestyle – which I have not! I want to bring it back to the beginning, to why I started which was the passion and the love of makeup and beauty and being able to chat for hours about my MAC eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks that have strong memories attached to them. Hell, I might even dig out my floral bedding for some nostalgic blog photos.
See you on the other side!
I wrote a post a few weeks ago about blogging while the pandemic is ongoing too. I didn’t want to continue posting my usual content without acknowledging what is happening in world. I think people need some escapism and reading blogs is one thing that people might do more of while off work as social media can be a bit overwhelming with news and fake news. I’m ashamed to admit that I hadn’t really thought about not ordering products as I was looking at it more from the viewpoint of supporting businesses but I totally see where you are coming from.
I’m excited about the idea of back to basics blogging! Hope you are well and stay safe x

I really want it to be a form of escapism but without the urge to spend. I want to support businesses but now I’ve seen that many have been put on furlough or reduced hours, I also don’t want to contribute to unnecessary pressure. It also makes me feel bad to see these deliver drivers out all the time as people are hauling clothes etc. I’m sure in a few weeks things will be different again xx Hope you’re staying safe too xx
I have been focusing my own content around the current pandemic too, as well as staying in line with my own niche, such as working out in your own home and entertaining babies from home by utilising baby groups online. I think people will appreciate the posts! There is an Amazon Wishlist post on there to spread kindness, but only because last time I worked at Amazon and there was no work, I didn’t get paid… so I’m hoping by utilising the company people are still able to work and pay their bills.
