Too Faced Too Femme Collection
Oh look, another eyeshadow palette has made it’s way into my collection! You know what it’s like with Too Faced. They release some of the cutest palettes and products and I just cannot resist them. I actually wanted the Too Femme palette on release as it’s the same size and style as the Teddy Bare It All palette which has become one of my most used palettes this year. The quality of those shadows has been excellent so I had high hopes for these beautiful, ethereal pastel shades.

With a butterfly theme running across the collection, the design alone made it perfect for it’s spring launch. Where has that time gone considering we are nearly at the end of summer? Whilst the Too Faced Too Femme palette has similarities in size to Teddy, the packaging is all cardboard. I’m not sure why they’ve made this decision but it just doesn’t seem to sit in keeping with the plastic and tin packaging we are used to from Too Faced. Inside the palette you will find 14 shadows; 2 large and 12 square with mattes, shimmers and marbled metallic shades.
I have to admit that I was drawn straight away to that gorgeous mint green and bright pink, and whilst pale pastels like this are definitely a trend at the moment, I really love to wear a pastel shade or create a fun liner or inner corner pop on an otherwise neutral eye.

It did amuse me to see yet another palette that has a disclaimer for the pink shade to advise that it’s not for use on the immediate eye area and should be used on the cheek only, yet the promotional images clearly show the models wearing the bright pink around their eyes. Maybe something to bear in mind should you purchase the palette. We all know pinks are hard work near the eye!
The shimmer and metallic shades are lovely and any eye look can be elevated with a touch of glitter. I think the colour payoff is great however the mint green did need a little extra work when applying to the eye. It’s a surprisingly wearable palette as at first glance you do think it’s a pastel shimmery dream but actually there’s a fair amount of neutral shades so you can do your usual day to day eye looks with a pop of colour.

I also picked up the blusher from the Too Femme collection. In the shade Butterfly Babe, and housed in the same cardboard packaging as the palette I really wanted this when I first heard about the release. The butterflies are still present across the packaging and on the blusher itself. A peachy pink shade with a sheer luminous finish, it is perfect for summer and is flattering universally. It also smells like sugared violets!
I didn’t pick up any of the lipsticks from the Too Femme collection but these are so lovely in both design and colour. There are six shades and are showcased in a heart shaped bullet with a shea butter middle to give glossy and gorgeous lips.

I need to slow down on my eyeshadow palette collection but I have seen that Too Faced are launching the reformed Chocolate Bar collection very soon. And with the rate that we have been flying through the year, it will also be time for the festive collection. Remember I had put a bet on to say it would be a pecan pastry inspired one so let’s see what they come up with.
Would you add the Too Faced Too Femme collection to your inventory?
