Whilst I have taken a small hiatus from Anoushka Loves, I have been practising the art of self care and making sure I look after myself, my mind and my skin. At the moment, having a blog and being a recipient of so many PR samples can get so overwhelming. I blame the pandemic, and the fact that I have got used to a much slower way of life but it’s given me ample opportunity to really try products. Skincare has become my number one priority as I’m not wearing barely any makeup (although I’ve not stopped buying it either) and I’m enjoying learning about how my skin reacts to certain products. Temple Spa have brought out these fantastic My Kinda Skin kits targeted at your skincare concerns, all beautifully wrapped up in a generously sized travel bag. I adore Temple Spa for bath and body, and the Truffle range so this has been a very enjoyable experience.

Within the My Kinda Skin Combination Skin kit, a cleanser, toner and moisturiser to work alongside your skins needs. I’m a sucker for a cleanser so I’ve loved the Dual Act Wet and Dry Cleansing Lotion and it’s magical properties. As combination skin can be a little, well… combination, Dual Act transforms to suit the skins needs by giving an all over cleanse with oilier areas left more balanced whilst drier areas aren’t stripped of natural oils. It’s a lovely cleanser that leaves my skin feeling clean and soft, and with the fabulous Temple Spa scent it feels like you are having an at home facial. I think this will be remaining in my rotation for a long time to come.

The Temple Spa Toning Essence also features within the kit and in it’s new sustainable packaging. I love a toner that comes in a spritzing bottle as I find them so handy for the warm summer months where they quickly become a handbag essential. The Toning Essence is a summer dream with ingredients such as tomato, basil, lemon, melon, orange and lime – it’s a Mediterranean delight. It’s very calming and soothing on the skin whilst helping to refine pores and leave skin hydrated. Your skin is left feeling fresh and ready for moisturising. I like to spritz it on my skin and press it in for maximum benefits.

Another clever product from Temple Spa, the Moisture To Go Balancing Moisturising has a silky, almost velvet feeling texture when applied liberally over your face. Like the cleanser, it balances the skin giving much needed moisture to the drier areas and absorbing any excess oils in the T zone. I’m really enjoying using this and whilst I don’t use it every day, I’ve noticed that it works really well for me for my morning moisturiser for keeping my skin calm throughout the day. Under makeup, I’ve noticed that I’m not seeing any more oilier patches than usual so this may be a good one for when I’m heading back out and about to work in an office. Even under primer, it gives a really good base and for those no makeup days, I look fresh and healthy with clear skin.

The My Kinda Skin sets are available for skin types; Oily, Sensitive, Combination and Normal at £65. You can also get the My Kinda Skin Dry for £74 or even choose your own products for a more personalised set. Best of all, all products are available to buy separately when you’ve found your new favourite skincare products.

I do love Temple Spa and I think I might try their SPF range next. What else do you think I should try?
