Sensorium Beauty Chapter One Palette
I’ve done so well on not buying any new palettes for ages. It’s been at least 2 weeks and I was so proud of myself. I’d had my eye on the new drop from Sensorium Beauty and I suspected that it may have been a palette. I was correct. The Sensorium Beauty Chapter One palette by Alexis Stone dropped and I purchased immediately. If you don’t know who Alexis Stone is then where have you been? Alexis Stone is the creator of magic, the celebrity transformation queen and the person who has got such an epic way on bringing thoughts to reality with some very, very clever stunts that have had the nation gripped, gooped and gagged. But, lets get back to Chapter One; a very good place to start.

Sensorium Beauty Chapter One palette isn’t the first release from Sensorium Beauty. They started with the Brow Engineer; a wonder product to create a custom brow look, which can also be used to cut creases, conceal and enhance your eyes and brows. I did get the Ash shade included in my order which was a lovely touch.
I had seen online some sneak peeks of the Sensorium Beauty Chapter One palette and it was the shimmers that blew me away. You all know I am a sucker for an iridescent sparkle and these are next level. The swatches alone made me realise just how special this palette was going to be. Packaged up in a silver foiled square palette with signature logo, the palette opens up to reveal a decent sized mirror and 36 shades. The colour story is amazing for a start. It’s got everything to do the most basic of subtle brown smokey eyes, deep seductive smokes, bright pops of colours, rainbow inspired looks and even neons. All the non shimmer shades are pressed pigments with a matte finish, and the 7 shades of shimmers are all transformative meaning that they add further depth and dimension over the top of other colours or worn alone.

I chose to wear Sensorium Beauty Chapter One for day one of Pride and I fancied incorporating several colours into my look. I prepped the base with P Louise base as I find that when working with colour, this makes the pigments pop the most. Starting the look using Hallucinate; a pure purple I worked this into the crease before diffusing it out with Pretence; a cool blue toned pink. After carving in my crease, I added Sensory; a deeper pillar box red into the outer V before placing Iodine; a true orange and Serotonin; a neon yellow onto the lid. I went for Illusion as my shimmer and it has a wonderful champagne shift. What I did find with the shimmers is that they work best when adding them with your finger and using a brush for precision. I couldn’t get enough product on my brush to get an impactful look otherwise.
As you can see from the swatches and from the eye looks, the colours perform so well. I don’t use any editing that enhances the colours, just some brightening and cropping with most images taken in natural light. I am not a makeup artist, but I do like to push myself to create looks that I wouldn’t necessarily try and I actually think that this is one of my most favourite looks to date. The amount of compliments that I got over the weekend was insane.

I did find the purple shade slightly more chalkier when using a brush that I did when on my finger but using a small detailer brush made light work of the placement and building up the colour. I didn’t find any of significant issues with any of the other shades and they all blended well with each other. The pink shade did stain, however we know that any pink shades have issues with leaving the skin when washing off. I used an oil cleanser and it cut through the colours with ease and staining was minimal.
I’m ever so happy with my newest palette in the collection and if this is Chapter One then I cannot wait to see what Chapter Two looks like.
