I have been so excited about this range since the sneak peeks started appearing across social media. As you know, Pixi Beauty is one of my all time favourite brands and has brought me some clear favourites such as the Milky collection and the iconic Glow Tonic. Pixi have come a long way since I first started using the brand – check out the original Glow Tonic review I wrote in 2013, after I ordered it via telephone directly with the store! Each range that Pixi have brought out, I have found products that have slotted into my routine with ease and that I use and repurchase frequently. The Pixi Beauty Clarity range has been a range that I have been needing. Whilst my skin generally behaves itself, I need the powers of salicylic acid to help combat blemishes but without stripping my skin. This is where Clarity works it’s magic and has been a god send over the last few weeks.

The range is made up of four key products which can all be used in conjunction with each other or as an additional step within an existing routine. Clarity will be identifiable amongst the other Pixi Beauty ranges by its icy blue colour palette of packaging with the synonymous Pixi green lids. The toner comes in the larger 250ml size as well as a handy 100ml travel size. I’ve been using Pixi Beauty Clarity range for around 4 weeks or so now, and I have seen a noticeable difference in my skin from adding in the products.

The Pixi Beauty Clarity Cleanser is a soft and gentle cleanser that contains salicylic, glycolic and lactic acids alongside aloe vera which penetrates the pores to give a deep clean and prevent spots from forming. As salicylic acid is an anti-inflammatory, it also calms the skin. The lactic and glycolic acids exfoliate at the same time, which means that this extremely powerful cleanser cleans, soothes and smoothes without causing irritation or stripping the skin. I did initially think that this cleanser would be too harsh for daily use but I’ve not had any adverse effects. I do now use this on rotation with others as I don’t need such a powerful cleanser each day and it also replaces the need to use several other products with a glycolic acid formulation. Skin feels cleansed and looks clear, but doesn’t come with any redness or tightness. It’s a great all rounder to have in your routine.

Pixi Beauty are so well known for their toners so I was very excited to try the Pixi Beauty Clarity Toner. The formulation also contains the trio of acids that are in the cleanser and I was expected some tightness and harshness when I used it however it’s very gentle considering it’s decongesting the skin whilst exfoliating and renewing the skin surface. Anti-oxidants and probiotics are also present within the toner, making it a great all rounder. I have already worked my way through most of the 100ml bottle as I have used it almost every day.

I do really like the essences, serums and concentrates from Pixi Beauty so the Clarity Concentrate has slipped into my routine with ease. It is quite watery for a serum but it absorbs into the skin with ease. I do prefer to use this infrequently as I find that it doesn’t give me enough hydration to replace my other serums, but when I have any sign of blemishes, this is whipped into action. The concentrate formulation contains salicylic acid and lactic acid which has benefits in being a very gentle AHA so helps with skin smoothing and texture. Aloe vera is also present to soothe. It’s a very lovely product that helps clear away dead skin and unclog pores.

The final product in the range is the Pixi Beauty Clarity Lotion; an oil free and mattifying lotion that I would use mainly in the morning. If you have dry skin I don’t believe that this would be right for you as it would be more suitable for combination and oilier skin types. I do love a mattifying product and I have been a huge lover of the Erborian mattifying toner and creme for such a long time. For a mid-budget product, this is a more cost effective way to introduce a product that works really well into your routine. The lotion also contains kaolin to draw out excess sebum and ceramides to keep the skin moisturised. On some occasions when my skin is drier, I do find that it is a little bit too drying on me.

I have been extremely impressed with what I have seen so far with the Pixi Beauty Clarity range. My skin looks so clear, especially around my jawline where I find that most of my blemishes occur. I particularly love the cleanser and toner and would totally recommend these for a starting point.
