My Bobbi Brown December Can’t Live Without Picks

I cannot believe we are reaching the end of December already. The end of a year that will never be forgotten. For me, I’ve learnt to appreciate the slower pace of life and to be happy with what I have around me. Whilst December has ramped it up a notch with post lockdown shop openings, last minute Christmas gifts to be bought and the thought of doing the food shop, I have retreated back to my slower pace of life and just want to take advantage of some downtime. I’m spending my time doing what makes me happy; playing with makeup and keeping my skin in tip top condition. This month, I have three of my Bobbi Brown Can’t Live Without picks that I have been using for a soft focus glow, and a fresh complexion.
This month, I’ve been keeping my skin nourished and protected from the effects of having the heating on and the bitter cold blasts of air when I have been outside. The Bobbi Brown Skin Nourish Mask has been in my life for several years and I always find that I treat myself to a top up when I go on holiday. The mask is extremely lightweight but has a formulation made from Coral Grass and Green Algae which really help with moisture. As it helps with the skins moisture barrier, it leaves skin looking plump and healthy and diminishes the appearance of dryness and fine lines. Whilst you can do a ten minute masking session, I prefer to put on a thicker layer before bed and let it work it’s magic. As it has hydrating emollients and essential oils, it’s a dreamy sleep mask. In the morning, once I’ve rinsed it off, I look glowy and my skin is practically perfect.
If you were to ask for my number one product from Bobbi Brown, I would say without hesitation the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. I’ve spoken about this numerous times over the years and I’ve lost count off how many tubs I have bought over the years. It isn’t a Bobbi Brown best seller for no reason. Face Base is a primer and moisturiser hybrid for normal to oily skin with a super fresh citrus scent that I can’t get enough of. It’s rich without being greasy and it gives make a perfectly flawless finish. My skin loves Face Base and drinks it up and I find that after use, my makeup stays in place with no oily patches throughout the day. It really is a wonder product and I will continue to repurchase this over and over again. They also do a large 100ml pot however it’s very rarely in stock but I am keeping my eyes peeled for it.
A new product to my make up bag, the Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Illuminating Powder has been causing quite a stir. I’m usually a translucent powder girl for setting my face in place but I have swapped my usual powders for the Bobbi Brown pressed powder. As I haven’t been wearing a great deal of makeup on most days, I have found that the Nude Finish has come in really handy for just making me feel a bit more put together and polished. A blend of shades within the compact, each with light reflecting pigments means that a soft yet lit from within glow is achieved once you dust the powder across your skin. The paler highlighter shades can be used alone with an angled brush to illuminate the high points of your face. It gives such a lovely finish and especially when you’ve used it over Face Base for a quick and easy look.
