Florena Fermented Skincare
I have a new brand to share with you today – how exciting! Florena Fermented skincare has recently hit the market with a focus on the fermentation process to bring you natural, effective and sustainable beauty products. I’ve been trialling out the hydration range from the brand and I’m been pleasantly surprised with what I’ve found. The Florena range covers anti ageing and hydration with creams, masks, oils, cleansers and toners. A small but perfectly formed range.

What is Fermented Skincare?
Fermented skincare is the heart and soul of Florena. The fermentation process is a natural way of breaking down a substance or ingredient into a more refined simpler substance to make it more powerful. It means that the most important ingredients turn into a concentrated form which the skin will absorb. Fermentation is known for turning ingredients into a powerful products with great antioxidant properties with a healing nature. Plus, it’s all natural. Within Florena, ingredients that have been fermented include flowers such as camelia sinensis, jasmine and honeysuckle as well as oils like argan, olive and angelica. Natural active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and vitamin E are also included. Fermentation is such a great natural booster that you will be getting more power in your products.
Who are Florena?
Florena have jumped onto the beauty scene with a great product range and ethos behind them. There’s a huge push on sustainability and as we all try to do our bit to help, we chose products from brands that are more conscious of the lasting effect. All of Florena’s ingredients follow a green chemistry process to create eco friendly skincare right down to using recycled plastic in their jars, and at least 70% recycled paper in the cardboard packaging. You will notice just how small the jars are whilst still containing the 50ml of product. The sustainability aspect of the brand put them in a really good position in the market now that more people are making conscious choices when it comes to being eco friendly.
The Products
24H Hydrating Day Cream
This is really lovely. It’s somewhat lightweight and absorbs quite quickly into my skin. Whilst wearing minimal makeup, it’s that lovely day cream that makes your skin look really healthy and fresh whilst it works its magic to keep my skin soft and nourished. It’s quite florally scented but that does quickly disappear and the cream is quite thick for a day cream but sits on the skin beautifully and without any weightiness. It’s not for me when wearing makeup as I do prefer a lighter cream but for the no makeup days, it’s great.
24H Nourishing Night Cream
At the moment I seem to find that I am preferring night creams to day creams and this one has been ticking my boxes. Rich but without feeling cloying or heavy, it has quite an oily texture when first applied but really works itself into the skin without any greasy residue. You only need a small amount of the night cream and it’s just lovely. The best part for me is that it isn’t sticky so I can put on my cream and get straight in bed, waking up looking like I’ve reversed in age.
24H Hydrating Face Mask
When I first saw the packet I did think it was a sheet mask which I’m not the biggest fan of, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it was a cream consistency that you can apply in a lovely thick layer to your face. I did get a few goes out of the one sachet which is great and my skin felt so wonderful afterwards. Really hydrated as well as feeling so soft.
I’ve been really enjoying using the Florena products and I’m really pleased with what I have seen from the brand from both a product view and with their ethos behind the brand. I’m all for helping the planet and helping whilst using skincare is good for me.
