Bobbi Brown Smokey in Seconds

I told you on Monday that the airport was a dangerous place. I mean, did I really need another smokey eye box of products? Well, of course I did. Anything that can create a smokey eye in seconds is my kind of product and this travel exclusive from Bobbi Brown is no exception. Still a newbie in the world of Bobbi Brown, I’m not feeling that pull that I get with brands like Tom Ford, yet everything I have tried I have really liked. The Bobbi Brown Smokey in Seconds set is exceptional value, and contains two full sized products and two deluxe samples to create, and remove a dramatic smokey eye in seconds.

With a travel retail value of £40, and contents worth over £60, the set is not just good value but also gives you the chance to try new products without forking out on the full size items. In the box you get a full size Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Shadow, a full size Smokey Eye Kajal Liner in Noir, a 5ml Smokey Eye Mascara in Noir and a 30ml Instant Long Wear Eye Make Up Remover. I’ve used the Long Wear Shadow sticks previously and I have loved them, so I am really pleased to try out a different shade. They apply like a dream and blend out beautifully, whilst setting into a budge-proof shadow that doesn’t flake or crease.

I don’t often wear kajal liners but when I first got the Smokey in Seconds set and drew a line on my hand with the kajal, I was like why haven’t I tried a Bobbi Brown kajal before? Creamy and almost gel like in formula, it’s intensely black and can be used as a precise liner, over the top of a gel or pen liner or can be smudged out to create that covetable smoked look. It’s a great pencil for under eye smokiness, as it’s so easy to blend and it sets without smudging down your face.

Big black lashes are the only way to finish of a dark smokey eye look and the Smokey Eye Mascara delivers length and volume with an deep, dark dramatic finish. I prefer to use a two coats for daytime and up the amp to three for an evening out. As I don’t usually use brush applicators, it took me some time and practice to make sure I could apply this without getting it all over my eyelid.

Finally, the Instant Long Wear Eye Make Up Remover is a product that I will definitely be purchasing the full size of. A duo phase remover, that literally dissolves make up in an instant without tugging and pulling. It’s super gentle, super easy and super quick at making light work of mascara removal. I love a duo phase for stubborn mascara and the Bobbi Brown remover is perfect.
