Anastasia Beverly Hills Pure Hollywood & Milkshake
Ok folks, brace yourself this month as there is going to be an awful lot of lipstick kisses heading your way. I don’t want to dedicate all of April to just lipsticks, but I have so many to get through that there will be at least one post per week filled with my pout and some amazing shades that I have been wearing. Kicking this months lipstick posts off are the Anastasia Beverly Hills Pure Hollywood & Milkshake liquid lipsticks, which you know I love. I ordered these from Macys and collected them from my address in the States, however I have just found out that Sephora are now stocking the whole range of liquid lipsticks. Amazing news, especially as Sephora ships to the UK. Hurrah.
I ordered Pure Hollywood and Milkshake for an event that I have coming up. I’ve been seeing the combo together on Instagram and Pinterest with Pure Hollywood as the base with a touch of Milkshake in the middle of the lips. I couldn’t resist, and even though Milkshake is way too pale for my skin tone, I am loving it when used with Pure Hollywood. As with all my lipstick posts, I have shown the colours separately and with the use of MAC Subculture lip liner for added definition.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Pure Hollywood is described as a pale mauve nude with Milkshake being a milk with hint of peach. They are quite spot on with the descriptions and I couldn’t think of a different description for them. Pure Hollywood is quite warm toned, yet Milkshake has cool undertones and looks slightly chalky. I find that application is best when most of the product is wiped off the doe foot applicator for a greater control. When less product is applied with the lighter colours, it doesn’t seem to go as streaky and they dry a lot faster. As with all the liquid lipsticks that I own, they last for such a long time that they are knocking all over liquid lipsticks out of the park. I do get some drying, and I do wear them for work which exacerbates the dryness, but I don’t care. In fact, I could wear Milkshake with Dainty lip gloss over the top as they are very similar.
Now that they are stocked in Sephora, it’s going to make it a hell of a lot easier for everyone to get hold of the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks. I want Sugar Plum next. Tell me what’s on your shopping list?

I love the look of Pure Hollywood, Milkshake is probably a little too light for me but it’s a beaut shade. I’ve heard such good things about these, really want to try them out. I didn’t even realise they were in Sephora, how far behind am I?? x
