Getting back to the office has been great. It’s been so lovely to have somewhat of a social life coming back and with that the after work evenings out have once again commenced. When you have to put your makeup on at half 6 in a morning, its a necessity to have something in your handbag to top up your makeup through the day and I picked up this gorgeous 3 in 1 face palette from Bobbi Brown. I did get mine earlier on in the year when summer was in full swing but I’ve only recently started using it more now. I think it’s a perfect palette going into autumn and winter.

It’s not often you get face palettes that swap out a pressed powder for a bronzer and I think this is why I like it so much. Bronzer is such a versatile product and one that I use a lot on my eyes as well as for warming up my face. Like every Bobbi Brown product, the packaging is gorgeous. A rose gold circular domed compact with a mirror inside that opens up to show your three face powder. I have the medium palette with the below shades:

Bobbi Brown Face and Cheek Palette – Medium

  • Bronzing Powder in Medium
  • Blush in Tawny
  • Illuminating Bronzer in Chelsea

The shades in palette are all complementary shades and in typical Bobbi style, all designed to enhance your natural look. Shape, shade and layer the colours for a beautiful glow that looks natural and skin like. I did have a tough decision on choosing between the light and the medium palette but as the bronzer was the biggest part of the palette, I chose medium so I could make use of the correct bronzing powder for my skin tone. The blush and illuminating bronzer shades are just perfect for me. In fact I think I will be getting Tawny blusher as a stand alone product when I’ve used this up. It’s the loveliest shade on my skin and makes me look fresh and natural. It also has a slight berry tone to it making it ideal for autumn.

You get 14.5g of product in the compact for £32 which makes it great value for money when you break it down compared to the individual shades. For comparison, a standalone product and their value is listed below.

Bronzing Powder – £33 for 10g

Blush – £21 for 3.7g

Illuminating Bronzer £33 for 10g

The bronzer is very light weight and applies with a soft matte finish. It warms the skin up without any orange tones shining through. It can be built up to apply into the contours of your cheeks to sculpt the face and as there is no shimmer within the powder it does make a great contour if you like to wear yours slightly warmer.

With the illuminating bronzer, this is actually the first time I have tried the product and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with just how pretty it looks on the skin. It’s a lot sheerer in finish than the bronzer and it can be used on it’s own as a highlighter and across the high points of your face. I’m not a huge fan of shimmery bronzers as a whole but this is just lovely.

Tawny blusher is a medium pink brown blush that comes across more berry pink on my skin. It’s lovely and I like how it gives that look where you’ve got natural flushed cheeks from the cold.

When it comes to Bobbi Brown, I know I am getting a great product and I don’t think that there is anything that I have tried that hasn’t been fantastic. From skincare to makeup, I just love how the brand has enhanced natural beauty at it’s core.

Now that I am set for autumn and winter with my Bobbi Brown face palette, I can’t wait to see how Bobbi will elevate my look over Christmas!
