Well, if I’m treating you to an extra blog post this week, it may as be be a damn good treat. Say Hello! to Tom Ford Flamingo, the newest addition to my small but perfectly formed collection. Its moved into its new home, Muji Towers, with existing neighbours Cherry Lush and Paradiso. Welconme to your new home Flamingo!
As you would expect from Tom Ford, the quality is second to none. The formula of the Tom Ford lipsticks is special. They don’t dry, have a delicious creamy texture and a long lasting finish. They glide onto your lips with an opaque coverage in just one swipe and the tip of the lipstick is shaped in such a way that it can effortlessly create a perfect cupids bow.
Tom Ford Flamingo is a medium toned pink, with blue undertones which makes it fall into the category of ‘Perfect for Anoushka’. I love a blue toned pink, they suit me the most and the blue tones make my teeth look really white. Flamingo applies as a satin matte finish, that gradually becomes more matte over the hours. I got approximately 3-4 hours of wear without having to reapply and whilst the colour faded, my lips remained stained.
Now, I can’t write a whole post about a Tom Ford lipstick without paying homage to its seriously gorgeous packaging. Sturdy black-brown glossy case with the signature gold trim and engraved TF in the lid, that clicks shut with a satisfying clunk. This is one lipstick you have to have in your make up bag. Its love. Again.
