Back onto my favourite subject again my loves. Yes, it’s skin care and it also happens to be from one of my frequently used brands; Nip + Fab. Nip + Fab are the sister company to Rodial, who in my opinion make some of the best skincare items that I have ever used. I’m a huge lover of the Stem Cell range and I can guarantee that you’ll find either a multi use balm or lip balm in nearly every handbag and room of my house. I recently wrote about my foray into the world of Nip + Fab body care, with excellent results so when I was kindly sent the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix range*, I was absolutely made up and changed my whole skincare routine to incorporate these gorgeous products.
You may have seen the Glycolic Fix range hit the media recently due to its new brand ambassador, the very gorgeous Kylie Jenner. I had the opportunity to see Kylie speak about her new role, but unfortunately I had work commitments that I couldn’t get out of. Kylie has spoken frequently about her love for the range, and in particular the cleanser. The Glycolic Fix Cleanser is a gel cleanser, which I must admit has taken some time getting used to it. I’ve always been a cream cleanser gal, but the I’ve found that the gel cleanser does help with drying out oily patches as well as leaving my skin looking fresh and clear. Apple amino acids and glycolic acids resurface and restructure the skin, and lift away any impurities.
My favourite part of the range is the Glycolic Fix radiance boosting pads. So many people have expressed their love for these pads so I was desperate to try them out. Gentle enough to use daily, the 2.8% glycolic acid removes dead skin cells whilst blue daisy helps soothe and calm. The texture of my skin has changed so much in the last month from daily use of these pads. They are a definite repurchase.
After cleansing and using my radiance pads, I’ve been covering my face with the Glycolic Fix serum. The serum contains a higher concentrate of glycolic acid and at 4%, it works better as an overnight treatment rather than a daytime serum. I do find the serum to be quite tacky and almost drying on my skin, so a rich moisturiser is needed prior to bedtime.
Once a week, I like to treat myself to an extra pamper and for me that usually involves some intensive treatments in the form of masks. The Glycolic Instant Fix Mask is the newest addition to the Glycolic Fix range, and it contains the highest potency of glycolic acid for super exfoliation and instant radiance. The gel texture sits on the skin and whilst working its magic, it penetrates the skin with a big boost of moisture.
Whilst I was in the USA a few weeks ago, I felt grotty. Full of a cold, sinusitis and generally run down and in a position without my intensive skincare, I headed over to CVS to pick up a facial scrub. Do you know when you’re ill and you just want to peel your skin off? Well, I had that going on. Funnily enough, the first facial scrub I found in CVS was the Glycolic Scrub Fix which contains salicylic acid to penetrate those layers and clear out my pores and the glycolic to smooth the skin. Only a small amount is needed as those microbeads get everywhere.
My skin is feeling brand new right now and although I am experiencing some slight blemishes, the rest of my skin looks really fresh and radiant. It feels really soft to the touch and when I wake up, I find that my skin feels really healthy and refreshed. I’m not sure if it has been because of the change in weather or because I have changed my skincare, but it has gone from being dry with an oily t-zone to an almost normal skin type. Naturally, I am still getting the odd spot of oiliness around my t-zone but even that seems to be diminishing. I can’t be sure, but what I do know is that I can see why Kylie loves the Glycolic Fix range! This post may contain PR samples that have been sent to me for consideration for review however all my opinions will be my own.
