Hello Autumn! I’ve been waiting for you so I can wear my deeper pink and berry toned lipsticks. As I have naturally deep red lips, colours that may seem bright and more summery actually wear a lot darker and deeper making them perfect for those autumnal days. One of my favourite colours, and one which I pair with its matching nail varnish for work is MAC Girl About Town Lipstick.
MAC Girl About Town Lipstick is described on the MAC Cosmetics website as a bright blue fuschia. It definitely has blue tones which make my teeth look very white, but a fuschia to me is more pink whereas Girl About Town looks deeper and more magenta than fuschia. When I wear it, it looks quite dark and true to the colour of the nail varnish. I absolutely adore it. Its an Amplified Creme finish so it really packs a punch with its smooth formula. It doesn’t drag and isn’t difficult to apply and I get around 4-5 hours of wear from it. When Girl About Town does fade, it leaves a stain and doesn’t dry out my lips until the next application. I also like that this formula is brilliant for not clinging onto dry patches, which is why it seems to be the chosen one for when I’m at work and the dry environment that I work in.
I’ve had MAC Girl About Town Lipstick for several years now, and I think this is my third repurchase. Its definitely a smart, sophisticated colour that still looks fun and can be worn through any season. I remember seeing Cheryl Cole wear it on The X Factor a few years ago, and literally went out and bought it the next day. MAC Girl About Town Lipstick retails for £15.50, and I think it is worth every penny.
What’s your favourite MAC lipstick. Leave me a link below to your blog post, I’d love to read it!
