Last Summer I treated myself to the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow powder which I thought would be a handy compact to have in my bag whilst I was at work. I picked #40 which is also the same colour as my Chanel Perfection Lumiére Velvet foundation. As a darker skin toned kinda gal, the Healthy Glow has been used more times than any of my other compacts. As a touch up, a bronzer or to contour, the Healthy Glow is so versatile. When payday rolled around, I had my little heart set on the latest version, the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour. Ah bliss.
The Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour is a three coloured powder compact in the same signature white gloss packaging as the original Healthy Glow, alongside its own half moon sabled haired brush and velvet case. Featuring a highlighter, the Healthy Glow powder and a beautiful pink blush, it can be used as individual colours or mixed together for a flush of colour. There are two colour harmonies to choose from, mine is #1 and #2 is a more tanned, bronzed colour palette. I did umm and ahh over both colours as #2 would probably be more suited to my skin tone, however I just fell for the pink blush and champagne highlight.
The powders have the signature Chanel scent, and have a great colour pay-off that leaves your skin looking fresh and glowy with a subtle hint of colour. For day to day usage, since I have bought it, I have used it every day. It contains SPF 15 like most facial products and the powder is silky smooth and easy to apply. Although the brush is handy to have in the compact for when you aren’t at home, I do use a different brush to apply. I also make sure that I wash the brush included quite frequently as the oil can transfer from the brush to the powder and leave that horrible dried out layer that just isn’t nice.
Although £39 isn’t cheap for a powder compact, this Chanel offering is just what you expect in terms of quality and pure luxury. As far as I am aware, it isn’t available from all Chanel stockists, but I bought mine from Debenhams where they had lots in stock.
