Oh Benefit, you are getting me into a tizz. Not only are you launching Puff Off, which I will show you in detail on Friday, but now you have introduced me to a mascara that is a serious competitor in the list of best mascaras ever made, ever. There was a bit of speculation as to what this new wonder product was going to be, especially when I saw Elle Magazine mention that you could try it a whole month before its official launch on the 26th February but only showed a silhouette of the mysterious launch. Ooh!
I was invited along to the Benefit training session on Saturday which took place on a massive Benefit lorry, with the interior decked out like a 1950s hair salon. Whilst I sat and nibbled on cupcakes and sipped rosé Moét, I was shown the newest wonder product from Benefit, Roller Lash*. I’m a massive fan of Benefit They’re Real mascara and I love how thick and full it makes my lashes but Roller Lash promises a totally different look. The mascaras I tend to go for are ones with a plastic comb rather than a brush. I find a brush difficult to manipulate and pull through my lashes for maximum effect. With Roller Lash, the comb has been designed to hook your lash, lift and curl them.
The innovative brush has a thin profile with a small curve that is flexible enough to fit smaller eye shapes. Using inspiration from rollers, strategically placed hooks on the bristles hook each lash, coating it with mascara whilst separating and lifting from root to tip. The Hook ‘n’ Roll™ brush has superb lifting quality and curls and holds lashes for up to twelve hours.
It’s really easy to say how brilliant a mascara is and tell you what the brand want to get across, but my god Roller Lash certainly lives up to the Benefit hype. They say the proof is in the pudding so I have taken some photos of my short stubby lashes without mascara, then with one coat and two coats. Over the last few days I have been using Roller Lash, I have noticed a dramatic improvement in the curl. I have never been a fan of eyelash curlers and never really use them, and now I have no need too.
