Addiction is a terrible affliction. Highlighter addiction is even worse, especially when it’s one of those products that you should use sparingly. I think I am going to start a new trend, a trend where bathing in highlighter is the fashion and it doesn’t matter just how much you wear, and people will say ‘Oh who contours when we can look like the tin man!’ It’s going to catch on, I promise. New in to the highlighter family is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in That Glow, and you are going to need it.
When I first saw the announcement for the two new highlighter palettes from Anastasia, I was quite surprised as ABH had just launched her four new illuminators, two of which I had bought in So Hollywood and Peach Nectar. Sheer and shimmery, they are beautiful but the new kits were something else. Four pans of highlight in each palette, each shade was swoonworthy. When I saw the kit in real life, I was shocked at just how large the pans were – I’m talking like the size of a MAC Skin Finish. I got my paws on That Glow, and I will also be getting Gleam and the new Sundipped when I get over to the states. That Glow, to me, is the most perfect set of shades for my skintone. They’re all slightly darker than Gleam and are a bit more bronze and golden rather than pink toned.
That Glow contains four shades; Sunburst, Golden Bronze, Bubbly and Dripping In Gold. Since the kit has been in my possession, Bubbly is the one that has been causing me some serious withdrawal symptoms when I don’t have it on. It’s almost a wet look light golden champagne shade that leaves the most incredible glow and finish on the skin. I haven’t found any issues with wear time, in fact they’re al lasting around 8 hours which is incredible. Also, with highlighters, there’s the risk that they settle and emphasise lines and pores, but thankfully I haven’t seen any of that happen.
I’m so glad that I’ve got the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in my life. I am seriously in love with it and think that for £39, it’s one of the best priced products for the size and quality of the contents.
