Ultimate Cosy Vibes

2020 has been such a strange year. One minute it was March, and then suddenly the whole Summer had passed and none of us even noticed. There is light at the end of the 2020 tunnel, and I feel like the best thing to do right now is to make the most of the colder months at the end of the year, celebrating Autumn and Winter and trying to reclaim some of that joy. That’s why I want to bring in the ultimate cosy vibes to my home – because if 2020 didn’t let me have the Summer I wanted, I’m not going to let it take away my Winter!

Soft Blankets

There’s honestly nothing more comforting than a soft blanket. I love ones that are super soft and fluffy, so that I feel safe and comfy while I’m snuggled up. I love the idea of grabbing a blanket per room, so that I know there is always one on hand – plus, it gives me a great opportunity to celebrate the colour schemes throughout my home.

Fluffy Socks

I have gorgeous parquet flooring and I love the way it makes my home look so cosy and interesting, sometimes feeling like my own little log cabin. I keep my feet cosy on the wooden floor by investing in some great pairs of really fluffy socks. In fact, I usually end up having to take them off because my feet get too hot! 

Hot Chocolate

When I think of being cosy, I immediately think of a cup of hot chocolate that is so big its almost like a bowl, steaming hot and frothy, overflowing with marshmallows and a swirl of whipped cream. That’s why I thought it would be fun to set up my own hot chocolate station, where my family and friends can create their own milky masterpieces, and we can all revel in how cosy we feel. 

Massive Jumpers

I don’t know about you, but I feel so much more cosy when I’m wearing a jumper that is about 5 sizes too big for me. Maybe it’s a throwback to being a kid, but curling up inside a hoodie is guaranteed to make me feel like I’m ready to fall asleep! Paired with a great set of pyjama bottoms, a massive jumper is the ultimate in comfort and my total go-to for a cost afternoon.

Cosy Movies

And, of course, there is no being cosy without a good selection of cosy films! Anything with an Autumn or Winter vibe, or something that was made by the Hallmark channel, is the perfect way to forget about real life and just indulge in something warm and fuzzy for a few hours.
