In this short article, we highlight at least one cool gadget that you can add to your home.

  • Bluetooth speakers – You can place small speakers all over the house, so you can listen to your favourite tunes; you can even place a waterproof speaker in the shower, so you can sing along with the best acoustics.
  • A mini bar – They come in a range of designs, some have wheels and contain everything you need for serving drinks; coloured stubby coolers are available online, along with funny bar mats and other items. Setting up a keg of beer on a cooler pump is a great way to entertain guests; many homeowners do this on the terrace, with a chic bar in one corner.
  • Bread maker – Do you love the aroma of fresh bread in the mornings? Go online and order a state-of-the-art bread-making machine; simply add the ingredients, set the timer and lo and behold, you have a tasty hot loaf of bread for breakfast!
  • Doorbell cam – There are many reasons why every home should have a doorbell cam, which records audio and video whenever motion is detected. They are cheap and very easy to install.
  • Robot vacuum – This handy little device runs over the floor, sucking up dust and dirt; it merely bounces off items and finds a way around. Set it on its way, and in an hour, the living room will be clean. The dog might not appreciate this tortoise-paced invader; indeed, his reactions might be worth filming. Here are a few reasons to plan for later life.
  • Solar garden lights – Spikes you stick in the ground, the soft light wears a solar cell hat and the device charges in the day and automatically comes on when light levels are reached. The ultimate garden lighting is environmentally friendly, and no effort is required; you just have reliable outdoor lighting by default. Order a single unit, and if it meets your standards, order another 7 or 8 for the entire outdoor space. They can be bolted to walls, hung in trees and bushes (LED light strips), stuck in the ground or merely placed.
  • Red light therapy –  A hand-held red light device is great for your health; run it over your skin, especially if you have an injury. Google ‘red light therapy’ to discover the many benefits that exposure to specific light spectrums brings.

All of the above will enhance any home; Australian homeowners have already discovered many of the tech gadgets for the home, and the curious will find many such gadgets and devices that make life that little bit better!
