YSL Libre Eau de Parfum

It’s been a long time since I’ve found a perfume that has knocked my socks of like the YSL Libre has. I love perfume and my collection is far too large for one person but there’s something so magical about how a scent transports you to another time. I’ve just retired my summer scents ready for the autumn and YSL Libre has been brought to the forefront. It’s absolutely delicious and it’s already received plenty of compliments from people who I have been around.
The flacon is a sophisticated delight. A clear glass bottle, enveloped in a gold YSL logo. A black lid that’s cut on the bias to match the cut out on the narrow edge of the glass. It’s stunning and looks beautiful on your dressing table. I do find it difficult to chuck this one in my handbag, as I really don’t want that gorgeous YSL emblem to get scratched or damaged.
YSL walks that line between masculinity and feminity. It’s strong and deep, a modern woman’s fragrance with personality and character. I find it very decadent and it’s been very appealing to me with the beautiful blend of notes that create this stunning fragrance. I find that it makes me feel very grown up and sexy, with an allure expensive aura. It’s really quite a magical scent.
The top notes open up with lavender, Mandarin orange, blackcurrant and petitgrain. I don’t get the lavender opening but the citrus burst is fruity, fresh and sweet without being juvenile. The heart develops with a deeper lavender, orange blossom and jasmine and these play wonderfully on my skin. Two of my favourite ingredients in fragrance are orange blossom and jasmine so it’s no wonder I fell for YSL Libre. Once warmed on the skin, the base notes of Madagascar vanilla opens with musk, cedar and Ambergris. The end result is soft yet bold fragrance that is just wonderful. Longevity is phenomenal, it lasts all day without a need to reapply and as it settles down.
This is definitely an autumn winter fragrance to take you through the next few months and another incredible product from YSL Beauty.
