Wet n Wild Summer 2019 Collection
As much as I love my high end products, I cannot deny that I have a huge love for Wet n Wild Beauty and I have really noticed how many of my old favourites that they have replaced. It’s such great new to be able to shop the products in the UK as previously, they were limited to the USA. Now I can pop to Boots on my lunch, grab a sandwich and a eyeshadow palette and I’ve never been happier. When Wet n Wild launched in the UK, I was sent a huge box of Wet n Wild products to try. Since then, I have fell for the PhotoFocus foundation and had to try the concealer – which is insane for the £3.75 price tag. When the new summer collection landed on my doorstop, I was over the moon to see the new products that they had sent me and of course, I had to share these with you.
The new Color Icon Bronzers from Wet n Wild now come in four shades including the top selling Ticket to Brazil. Exclusive to Boots and Beauty Bay, these are very much a whilst stock lasts products and luckily Boots do have these in stock. A gel infused cream powder hybrid, the bronzer is absolutely beautiful. Pearl pigments give that gorgeous lit from within bronzed glow, whilst the cream powder formula blends into skin seamlessly. I am seriously impressed with how beautiful this looks on my skin and Palm Beach Ready is a perfect shade for my olive undertones.
Annoyingly, I’ve not been able to find a link for the new shade of Color Icon Blush on either Boots or Beauty Bay. The new Blazen Berry shade has to be one of my favourite shades of blush. It does look a lot deeper in the pan compared to how it transfers on the skin and it reminds me a lot of a deeper Nars Torrid. The formulation is silky and smooth, and applies to the skin with a subtle and sheer, radiant finish. I’ve been doubling up and using this as a pop of colour on my eyelids as well as a flush of colour on my cheeks.
I was incredibly happy to see my mascara of the moment in a waterproof formulation. I’ve been using the Wet n Wild Lash Renegade for a few weeks now; in fact, it’s about to be retired to the bin as I’ve used it all up. A multi dimensional mascara that builds length and volume whilst defining every lash. With this horrible hayfever this year, I’ve been weeping most of my mascara off and was on the hunt for a waterproof and I’ve found it! In Brazen Black, Lash Renegade Waterproof is blacker than black and the spherical tip ensures that every single little lash is caught and coated with mascara. It does need a little help to remove so using a good oil cleanser such as Stripped works immediately.
A summer makeup collection is not complete without the addition of highlighters for gorgeous, dewy skin. The new additions this summer do appear to have already sold out so I do think a good hunt around a Boots store may lead you to success. The MegaGlow Highlighting Powder has been given two new shades; Bloom Time and Awesome Blossom. Both powders have the signature print of the existing MegaGlow powders in the pan and the same beautifully light texture, finely milled powder and rich shimmer. The effect is a naturally gorgeous glow that lasts for several hours on the skin. Bloom Time reminds me of a lighter Nars Orgasm and I love how it looks on my medium skintone.
My favourite of the new releases has to be the MegaGlow Loose Highlighting Powder in You Glow, Girl.. Although I do love a pressed highlighter, the intensity of the loose pigment is something so special that I can help but lust over it. You Glow, Girl is a peachy pink champagne shade that works well alone or to create a glowy finish when mixed in with primer, moisturiser or foundation. The pot is large enough for it to be easy to apply as a body highlight and for £4.95, it’s an absolute bargain. Out of the whole collection, I really do hope that these aren’t retired for good after their limited edition run.
I adore Wet n Wild – do you have a favourite product?
