Summer Fragrances

Summer is coming! The weather is getting warmer and I’ve started to introduce my favourite summer scents back into the mix. I’m a huge lover of floral-fruity scents and love a feminine yet seductive aroma. Here are my tops picks for Summer 2014.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh

One of my favourite scents, so i’m sure you’ll see this crop up in many posts in the future. Light, fruity and floral, perfect for daytime. Top notes are grapefruit, green notes, raspberry and pear; middle notes are jasmine, rose, violet, litchi and apple blossom; base notes are musk, virginia cedar and plum.

Emporio Armani Diamonds Rose

A new one to my collection and in the rose version as opposed to the original. this light lemony floral-fruity fragrance has top notes of bergamot, raspberry and black currant. Heart notes of rose, lily of the valley and freesia. The base is made up of patchouli and ambrette seed.

Calvin Klein Eternity Summer*

I adore the original Eternity so it was time to expand my horizons and try the lighter Summer version. WIth a new Summer version released each year, this is from Summer 2013. Fragrantica describes it as a fragrance that ‘reflects that romantic atmosphere of the secluded beaches. The fragrance opens with sea breeze accord that leads to the heart of gentle wisteria flower and its white amber base’

Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia

My all time favourite fragrance, and my most reached for bottle. Top notes of ripe pear and light melon, combined with heart notes of freesia and rose and base notes of musk, patchouli, amber and rhubarb.

Chloe By Chloe

A well loved fragrance and also a repurchase. The bottle looks a bit worn where I’ve popped it in my handbag! Floral and fruity, top notes of peony, freesia and litchi combine with heart notes of rose, lily of the valley and magnolia. Base notes of amber and virginia cedar make it a great day time fragrance and is also seductive enough to wear on an evening.
