Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection
This post contains PR Samples
When it comes to skincare, you can guarantee that my cupboards will be filled with many products from Pixi Beauty. An affordable skincare brand that not only works but has several ranges within that focus on different areas of concern. I don’t think there are many products that I haven’t tried from Pixi Beauty and from all the collections the Rose Infused range has captured my heart. That was until they released the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky range. I got sent this incredible PR package back in March which came in the cutest milk carton like boxes with each carton holding one of each item from the range. I had been even luckier that back in November of last year, I was kindly gifted most of the Milky collection from Pixi whilst I was at the Glamour Beauty Festival so I have already found the products that work the best for me.
Carton one brought me the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover which I adore. I have a lot of issues with taking off eye makeup and finding the right remover as I have such sensitive eyes and I find that whilst I get on with some, many irritate my eyes. The Milky Makeup Remover is a duo phase solution that rids my eyes of stubborn mascara without pulling or dragging and lifts away makeup with ease. The bottle has a pump action top which is great for cotton rounds and dispenses enough product so it’s not being wasteful. The formulation moisturisers and hydrates the gentle eye area and I have not had any irritation so far. I also like to keep one to hand when taking blog photos as I can wipe away any swatches and move onto the next with ease!
In carton two was the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Cleanser. A cream cleanser that is almost stiff to the touch when dispensed, it lathers up into a lovely foam that feels like a gel. It isn’t my favourite cleanser from Pixi and I have to admit that nothing will come close to the Rose Cream Cleanser in my eyes but for a nourishing clean that doesn’t leave my skin feeling too tight this is ideal.
Carton Three brought me a top up of the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Peel. Similar to the Peel and Polish (which I love), the micro peeling cream is a gentle exfoliate that sloughs away dead skin cells to reveal fresh and bright skin underneath. I find that this peel is very refreshing and doesn’t cause any irritation to the skin nor does it leave it red after use. It’s that gentle that daily use wouldn’t be an issue but I prefer to use maybe twice a week.
Inside carton 4 was a travel sized bottle of the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Tonic which I have stashed away with my other travel sized bottles for when we can jet away again. Now, whilst this is an extremely gentle toner I actually don’t feel that this does much for my skin. Although hydrating, it does leave some residue on my skin and I don’t feel that it has as much oomph as the Rose Tonic or Retinol Tonic. That being said, when it comes to holidays and being in the sun I think it may be different.
Carton 5 was one I was most looking forward to as it contained the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Serum. I absolutely adore the oils and serums that Pixi have brought out and I was dying to try this one. I have used a lot of it over the last few months and I find that it’s very thick for a serum so I do find that using it at night is the best option. After using it in a morning, I do find it takes a long time to sink in therefore making foundation wear difficult. It does make my skin look extremely radiant and youthful and gives that shot of intense hydration that I need right now.
In the last carton, a top up of the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Lotion. This moisturiser is huge at 135ml and I have been using it consistently since last November. It smells incredible and can be used on the face and body. With it being a lotion, it is quite thin for a moisturiser but it works so well. There’s nothing nicer than post shower than liberally applying the lotion from top to toe.
The main ingredients of each products are mostly the same; Black Oat Extract, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba and coconut feature heavily with the added cinnamon extracts for their anti inflammatory properties, probiotics and Willow Bark extracts. The Hydrating Milky collection is very gentle and suitable for sensitive skin and doesn’t contain any active ingredients unlike some of Pixi’s alternative ranges. My skin doesn’t need a lot right now so Hydrating Milky slips into my routine with ease and leaves me feeling fresh and clean with youthful looking, healthy skin.
I have the full collection of the Pixi Beauty Retinol range to sink my teeth into next and I can’t wait to share my thoughts!
At this time, I do not want to encourage unnecessary spending in light of the current situation so I urge my readers to shop responsibly and only if it is an essential purchase. Thank you.
