New In Skincare Additions – August

This past month or two I have been powering through some of my older skincare products and having a good clear out of those that have been in my stash for quite sometime. It’s been quite refreshing to start afresh. I seem to have issues with being able to let go of things, and need to use every last morsel of product before I class it as an empty. But, I have been finding some fantastic products, falling in love with some new in skincare and trying out plenty of new launches. As there have been so many new in skincare products landing on my doorstep recently, I’ve added them all together in one post as more of a first impressions and how I’ve been finding things. There may be a few products that aren’t quite so new but have taken me a bit of time to get round using. I’ve tried hard to keep up with things but sometimes I’m just not on the ball like I used to be.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser 236ml – I have this issue where when I love something and use it all the time, I never seem to share it or talk about it. Why? I have no idea but a few years ago I was introduced to CeraVe by the PR girls and I really enjoyed the basicness of it. It just works. I keep one in the shower for a quick cleanse and it keeps me skin feeling soft, fresh and clean without drying it out or stripping it of essential oils. Although I was given a bottle to try, I have since repurchased many a time as I always end up going back to it. It’s also helped some of my family who have needed a fragrance free, calming and soothing cleanser to help their skin. Plus, it’s under £10. An absolute bargain if you ask me.

CeraVe Moisturising Lotion 236ml – Another winner from CeraVe, the moisturising lotion is a no frills lotion that really helps really dry skin. I suffer from KP on my arms and I do notice a big difference when I’ve used something that targets dry skin. You can use it on your face as well as body but for me, it’s been a key player in getting my legs from dry and hidden away to glossy and smooth for summer.

Biossance Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum 30ml* – This is lovely! I’ve been adding this in twice a week to resurface and hydrate the skin. I wake up glowing and my skin feels so lovely. The only thing I’m not sure on is the scent but I’m more concerned about how fab my skin looks.

Biossance Squalane and Probiotic Gel Moisturiser 50ml* – I’ve been really enjoying this. There’s something about gel moisturisers which make my skin so happy. Lightweight, smells delicious and works a treat. I’m really looking forward to seeing further results from this. It’s very soothing so I do like to use it at night after an acid treatment to ensure I have no irritation and inflammation. I can’t wait to try more of the range.

Verso Night Cream with Retinol 8 50ml – This has been sat in my stash, unopened, for a few months now and I was on the fence about using it because of the retinol. I very rarely use retinol and it’s one of those ingredients that you need to persevere with to see results. I’ve finally opened it and so far, so good. It’s got a really lovely texture, almost like a balm. I am going easy with it as I’ve been using other things but I hope to ramp it up soon.

Verso Hydration Serum 30ml – I’m not one who gets many spots of blemishes but when I do, my first point of call is a product with niacinamide. An actual wonder product and the serum is just beautiful. It really helps control my T Zone and I’m sure my pores are shrinking. The serum is a gel formulation but goes on silky smooth and works its magic whilst soothing my skin. Absolutely beautiful

Funderm No Drama Red Clay Mask 100ml * – Now I’ve realised that I actually like clay masks I have really been enjoying trying new ones. This one from Funderm balances and purifies skin, treats pimples and dark spots, whilst brightening skin and making you look and feel like a million dollars.

Fade Out Collagen Boost Day Cream SPF25 50ml * – Another newbie to my collection, Fade Out contains niacinamide and lactic acid to help reduce the appearance of skin pigmentation and the SPF protects against UVA and UVB rays. It’s quite thick for a day cream and it does leave some white cast but it feels nice on the skin.

Fade Out Collagen Boost Night Cream 50ml * – Formulated to target the signs of ageing, niacinamide and lactic acid work hard overnight to even skin texture and exfoliate. I much prefer the weight of the night cream compared to the day cream so I have been using this more frequently. Really lovely.

Hopefully I shall report back with some results but for now, I’ve really been enjoyed trying some of the new in skincare products. Is there anything that you want to try? Or have tried?
