Lauren’s Way – LW Solution 60 Rapid Mousse

I’m such a lover of self tan and part of my pamper sessions when I’m staying in various hotels is to make sure I’m looking bronzed and glowing. Plus, its always fun to self tan and sleep in somebody else’s bedding than my own white sheets! With the sheer amount of flights that I’m clocking up at the moment, I sometimes don’t get time before I leave for work to tan however I still want that glow in time for evening drinks. The specially developed formula is fast acting so within 60 minutes a light tan will develop and if left on for up to three hours, a medium to dark tan will develop. I have been trying the tan for different lengths of time and this includes leaving it on overnight however I have found that the colour that develops overnight is almost the same as the colour after three hours.

My natural skin tone is medium with olive tones and when I tan in the sun, I go quite dark. One of the qualities that I look for in a self tan is for the colour to replicate a deep sun tan. LW Solution 60 Rapid Mousse doesn’t look muddy or orange and develops into a colour that looks like I have spent a week in Barbados. As you can see from the before and after pictures, the colour is even and none streaky. Prior to tanning, I prepared my skin by shaving where necessary and exfoliating the areas I was about to tan, paying attention to elbows, knees and ankles. Using a mitt, like the LW Tanning Mitt, I used on average 4 pumps of mousse for each leg and 2 per arm and other areas.

The LW Solution 60 Rapid Mousse dries quickly and doesn’t have that fake tan scent. Even when left on overnight, I can’t smell those tell tale signs that I’ve been using self tan. I found that the colour lasted around 5 days before fading and I only got saw patchy tan in places where I had been wearing my watch. The only downside to the LW Solution 60 Rapid Mousse is that sadly, it has leaked when I have been travelling however I have kept it in its special bag and nothing was ruined in my suitcase. Phew!
