La Prairie Skin Caviar Lift

I’ve been a little bit giddy with my skincare lately and I’ve been amping up the beauty products and pulling out the big guns to put my skin back into peak condition. I don’t want to brag but the changes in my skin over the last 6 weeks has become quite something, to the point that I’m even getting an extra 15 minutes in bed. How could that be, you ask? Well, as my skin is practically flawless, I literally only need brows, blush and mascara and I’m ready to leave the house. The magic ingredients are from La Prairie, the boujiest skincare that has changed my life. The Skin Caviar Lift range has done things to me that no other skincare has and it’s time to share the goodness.

Back at the end of 2018, I wrote about how I had started a journey with the La Prairie Skin Caviar cream, eye cream and Booster serum and I’ve been continuing with using these products over the last year or so. Back when I wrote the original post, I hadn’t used the products enough to give a full and comprehensive review of how they worked but now that I’ve spent time and really got to grips with the creams and serums, I have formed some firm opinions.
Starting with the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, I am quite frankly shocked to see just how long this has lasted. Using the spatula that comes with the pot has made me use it a lot more sparingly than what I usually would. A little goes a long way and I do this both morning and evening, using a little more product at night. When applied, my skin feels like velvet. It’s packed with moisture and hydration but most of all I have started seeing a difference with the elasticity and support on my face. My neck looks tightened and my jaw line where I suffered from dehydration now feels supple. A wonder product for sure, and at £384 for a pot it’s really not purse friendly but as I’m almost on the last scrapings I am going to need to repurchase.
The key to my anti ageing comes from the La Prairie Cellular Power Charge Night and my goodness, what a power combo this is combined with the Luxe Cream. The Cellular Power Charge contains one of natures most powerful ingredients; Retinol. The Retinol serum has been resurfacing my skin which is very apparent since I’ve been using it. What I have noticed is that unlike some other retinols, I haven’t had any side effects such as dry and flaky skin. The cream has been soothing and boosting the new skin cells, leading to brighter, younger looking skin. I wear this alone at bedtime and use it around 3 times a week. I am also making sure I have an SPF during the day whilst the resurfacing and regenerating is happening.
I’ve always been a little bit lax when it comes to eye creams but I am proud to say that 5 weeks into 2020, I have used an eye cream for at least 4 weeks of the 5. Whilst I do have the Skin Caviar Eye Cream, I have been a little neglectful of it as I thought a moisturiser would be enough. How wrong was I? The introduction of the brand new launch from La Prairie is the Skin Caviar Eye Lift; the first eye opening serum for the entire eye area. A potent combination of the iconic La Prairie gold caviar beads combined with a gel cream emulsion that lightens, tightens and brightens the eye contour right up to the brow. I didn’t know what to expect from the Skin Caviar Eye Lift when I heard about the claims but after spending time getting to know the product, I’m very impressed.
After cleansing, I start with the Skin Caviar Eye Lift which I use every morning. Pressing the pump releases the two formulas which mix together as they expel. Starting in the inner corner of my eye, I press in liquid moving to the outer corner. The serum feels cooling but has somewhat of a tightening effect. I have been using the product in my brows and I’m not sure if it’s a combination of brow serum or just the Skin Caviar Eye Lift but my brows are starting to look a lot fuller and feel in better condition. Under my eyes, the Skin Caviar Eye Lift is helping with puffiness and whilst not eradicating dark circles completely, the gold caviar pearls with their light reflecting pigments are making me look at lot less tired and much more awake. I love the feel the of the gel cream and it’s actually leaving me with a really smooth surface for makeup application. For an extra treat, I go over with the Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Cream for added indulgence
Alongside the Skin Caviar Eye Lift, I’ve had chance to try the Skin Caviar Skin Lift and my goodness, this duo is a force to be reckoned with. The gold caviar pearls play a part in this gorgeous serum, however they are activated at first use that leave an pearlescent looking formula that brings light and brightness to my skin. I’ve been using this daily for the last few weeks with a touch of Skin Caviar Luxe Cream and it’s really changed how my skin looks. I haven’t worn foundation for weeks because my skin is looking so fresh and flawless that I don’t feel the need to cover it up. I look glowy and healthy and I might be mistaken but those little lines near my eyes do look like they’re diminishing. My skin looks tighter and firmer and feels a lot more supple.
With a brand like La Prairie, it is an investment and for anyone who is looking to take their first step into the La Prairie world, I would wholeheartedly recommend the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream as a base product and the Skin Caviar Eye Lift as your new go to eye cream.
