Huda Heartbreaker Lip Kit 9 Huda Beauty Heartbreaker Huda Beauty Heartbreaker Lip Kit

Back in November I headed to the Glamour Beauty Festival at Manchester Central where I enjoyed a full afternoon filled with beauty products and spending time with my favourite brands; Caudalie, Pixi Beauty and Huda Beauty. It’s only been in the last year and a half where I have started to use more Huda Beauty and I’ve really enjoyed the products that I have purchased. During a splurge last Christmas, I picked up the Huda Beauty Festive Lip Kit which was the first time that I had tried the liquid lipsticks and lip strobes and since then, a palette or two have ended up in my possession. Most recently the Huda Nudes palette, but more about that later! Within my goody bag from the Glamour Beauty Festival, I was over the moon to see a Huda Beauty Lip Kit in the shade Heartbreaker. I appreciate that you can’t get this lip kit at the moment however you can still get the full sized shades and this colour is so perfect for this time of year.

Looking into the lip kit sets, it does seem that they release certain sets over time and withdraw them from sale after a certain period. I do know of friends who have numerous sets and collect them over the years which I could certainly see myself doing, and as they are priced at £29 for a mini liquid lipstick and lip strobe with a full size lip pencil, they are a great way to try so many of the shades. The tins are also pretty darn cute too.

Heartbreaker is defined as a pinkish red which I find to be quite accurate. It’s warm, deeply pigmented and extremely pretty and would suit a number of skin tones. The Heartbreaker Lip Contour Pencil is soft yet gives precision application and my god, it doesn’t move once it is on. I do find that when I apply the lip liner, I contour my lip line and start to bring in the colour onto the lip for a fuller effect and this does work really well once the liquid lipstick has been applied. It does need a bit of work to remove this bad boy and the only thing that does cut through it is a cleansing oil to get rid of all the product.

The Liquid Lipstick in Heartbreaker comes in a 1.9ml size tube, with a traditional doe foot applicator. Prior to application, any excess oils on your lips needs to be blotted off otherwise you may not get a smooth finish once applied. Like any other doe foot applicator, it makes light work of application and even if you haven’t used the Lip Contour Pencil, you can still create sharp lines and a perfect pout.

The Huda Lip Strobes are really something else. A tradition gloss but packed full of iridescent shimmer, glistening glitter and duo chrome pigments. Huda Beauty Shameless has glistening red and gold reflects that change colour when the light hits it. It does look quite dark when first applied but as you move, it morphes into a pinky gold colour that is quite simply stunning.

Have you tried any Huda Lip products? Which shades are your favourite?
