Charlotte Tilbury The Super Nudes

It’s true. We’ve tried to ignore it but the 90s are back and they are in full force. To be honest, I’m not mad about it. When I saw that Charlotte Tilbury had launched the Super Nudes collection, I was actually really pleased. I had a great time in the 90s. I was almost coming of age, and being 16 in 1999 was just everything. Blow up backpacks, Buffalo shoes and Topshop lipstick in Mushroom. The make up was so different back then but there was this almost grungy, sexy smoky look with super nude yet naturally gorgeous lips. It was a fun time and I’m ready to bring it back with a modern day twist.

The Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes collection is small yet mighty. Unlike the huge amount of products that came along with the Pillow Talk collection, Super Nudes focuses on eyes, face and lips with two palettes, an eye pencil and five new lipstick shades. I’ve succumbed and treated myself to some new bits which I can’t wait to share with you today.
Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Nudegasm Face Palette
These palettes are so handy and I really like the new Nudegasm one. I got the Glowgasm palette a few years ago and it’s been surprisingly well used. So much so that I took it to Australia in my minimal makeup bag and it was a fantastic multi use palette that did me so well. Nudegasm has that cool nineties girl vibe with super nude shades to shape, sculpt and glow with universally flattering shades.
Super Glow: A soft champagne gold that has a beautiful wet look finish
Multi Glow: A golden peach with satin finish
Super Sculpt: A rich umber for perfect contouring
Sculpt: A sandy taupe to sculpt, enhance and blur
Beautifully soft powders with a cream to powder hybrid formulation that glide across the skin. Using my Charlotte Tilbury Sculpting Brush, I can create a natural sculpt and glow in moments that looks sublime and lasts all day.
I’m particularly enamoured with the blush shade. It’s such a flattering shade and with the satin finish it gives you such a beautiful glow. I love a peach blush, I find them to be the most suitable shade for my skin and this gives me a natural flush with a golden highlight.
The lighter sculpting shade is also a great shade for me. The taupe tone gives a really good shadow effect and it reminds me of contour shade I used to have many years ago that had that perfect bone cast for the most natural of contour.

Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Easy Eye Palette
Nude eye shadow palettes are ten a penny these days so I do feel quite indifferent to them, but this handy six shadow palette from Charlotte Tilbury is actually a little hidden gem. It’s split into three warm shades of bronze and three cool shades of caramel browns and black. As with previous Tilbury palettes, it’s split into different eye looks and this time it’s a day eye and a night eye.
I’m really pleased to see the addition of the black shadow as I have been using shadow a lot more lately as a liner, and the caramel tones are very in keeping with my style. I have, of course, been adding a little extra glitz with a glitter over the top but should I ever want to do a subtle eye, this is the palette I would choose.
Super emollient powders, with a very forgiving texture means that you can swipe these on and blend out whilst still looking like you have spent time on your eye makeup.

Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Matte Revolutions – Supermodel Lipstick
I do not need anymore lipsticks but I definitely needed this one. Supermodel is a gorgeous muted nude rose with a matte finish. Its a very me shade, and one that I will get a lot of use out of. It’s darker than Pillow Talk but not as dark as Pillow Talk 2. Medium. When it’s on my lips, it’s a more ideal ‘my lips but better shade’ and I think it’s much more wearable for me than Pillow Talk. It’s absolutely lovely.

I love anything Charlotte Tilbury as you can tell from my posts over the years. I can’t wait to see what collection she brings out next!
