Cetaphil Sensitive Skincare

I never in a million years thought that my skincare love would overtake my makeup love, but here we are. Peak 2021 already – beautifully clear skin from being makeup free the majority of the time and actually enjoying a bare face. There have been some ups and downs; hormonal outbreaks, dryness and dehydration from the central heating and unfortunately some spots from the emotional overeating that I have been doing. My skincare routine, rather than being a million steps with a million different products has been somewhat low key and I do think that this has been the catalyst in kickstarting my skin back into it’s best behaviour. The secret? Cetaphil. An award winning range of skincare designed for every day cleansing and moisturising and protecting of sensitive or dry skin.

My need to exfoliate has been a lot higher than normal recently and I am blaming the drier weather we have been having. I didn’t want to have to go down the route of using more abrasive products frequently and whilst I love the use of acids, I didn’t want to overdo it. With Cetaphil, I have actually found that the Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is giving me everything I need and is gentle enough to use on a daily basis and alongside something a little stronger if the mood takes you. Perfect for dry, oily and combination skin the cleanser has a light fragrance, non comedogenic, doesn’t irritate and also doesn’t dry my skin out. It’s a very lovely, calming and soothing cleanser that does have an impact on sloughing away dead skin cells. I’ll be keeping this in my routine forever more.
I’ve upped the ante in terms of using my SPF as I have let it fall by the wayside over the winter months. It’s not because I didn’t think it wasn’t important but it was just mainly to do with the fact I haven’t been out at all. I can’t even say I’ve been sat near sunlit windows either. My mission going forward is to make sure my SPF usage is back on track and thankfully, the Cetaphil Daily Defence with SPF 50+ is to hand. I actually really like this for an SPF. It’s very lightweight on the skin and has no fragrance to it. I also like how it doesn’t leave a visible white cast like other SPFs have a tendency to do. So far, I’m really pleased with this one.
Everyone loves a multi use product so the Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion has been a little god send for me. Face, body, hands – it’s locking in the moisture and keeping my skin hydrated. I’ve not been using the lotion on my face as much as I have on my hands and body but it’s a lovely lightweight lotion that sinks into the skin quickly and helps protect my skins natural barrier. It’s been perfect on my legs where I have sensitive skin especially after shaving so I’m happy.
Cetaphil is absolutely brilliant for sensitive skin and I’m so pleased I have given it a proper try as it has really helped with my skincare needs. Have you tried anything from Cetaphil? What are your favourite products?
