I have to say that this year the makeup launches have been exquisite and I have not been able to stop myself from treating myself. It’s been a very spend heavy year so far but you know what, I have a whole load of new makeup including the gorgeous By Terry Beach Bomb Brightening CC Palette and what a beauty it is. This was another ‘I don’t need this but there’s 20% off’ purchase and I’ve actually had so much use out of it so far. Compact, multi use and perfect for your handbag, it’s going to come in quite handy for when I return to the office.

By Terry have been a brand that I have been buying for many years and I love so much of the range. I was looking over my collection and was quite shocked at how much By Terry I had in my stash. I think I went a little crazy on having a full makeup collection for my desk drawer, so I have everything from complexion and base products, blush and highlight multi sticks and powders to gorgeous lipsticks. They do bring out some absolutely beautiful products and when they launched the Sunny Flash CC Palette last year I did have to give it a pass as I just didn’t think it would work well on my skin tone so it was a nice surprise to see a darker toned palette in the form of the By Terry Beach Bomb shade range. It’s definitely more my colour and looking at the comparisons now, I am glad I didn’t get the original. I doubt the pink would have made more than a hint of colour on my cheeks.
The packaging is everything that you expect from By Terry; a rose gold mandela embellished compact with a mirror inside, opening up to reveal four powders embossed into the shape of roses. It’s almost too pretty to use but I did. It’s an ideal palette for an all in one; a fresh brightening powder, peachy blush, cheek highlight and a bronzer which can be used on the face or eye.
- N°1 – the illuminating shade highlights the complexion with a beautiful nude glow.
- N°2 – An unmissable warm summer shade to use as a glowy blush or an eyeshadow.
- N°3 – A vivid pink blush for a rosy glow to livens cheeks with a ‘freshly-pinched’ hue.
- N°4 – A warm glowy bronzer to provide definition to the features for the most beautiful bronzed finish.

I do really like the By Terry powders. They are super finely milled so they diffuse so well on the skin and blend in seamlessly. The unique formulation of the CC formulas give the powders this soft to the touch feel but once applied on the skin, they feel almost like skincare. They don’t look or feel cakey, nor do they settle in fine lines or accentuate skin texture.
Special ‘Optical Glow’ technology features soft-focus micro-spheres and color correcting pigments for a flawless finish, while light-reflecting prisms lift the complexion. Rosehip oil hydrates and regenerates without drying the skin.

I did have high hopes over the By Terry Beach Bomb palette and so far it hasn’t disappointed. The bronzer shade is perfect for my skin tone and long term readers will know I have issues with finding the perfect bronzer shade but the shade I love the most is the pink blush. I never usually go for a pink blush but I absolutely love it! I’m hoping that they bring these shades out as singles, especially the brightening powder as it’s just divine.
Have you managed to get your hands on the By Terry Beach Bomb palette yet? What do you think?
