Whilst 2021 is flying by at the blink of an eye, one thing I’m really focusing on is getting back to getting ready in a morning. After nearly a whole year of working from home (how on earth has it been a year already), I have really fallen into some bad habits. Working in my pjs, not getting showered or dressed until later in the day, not even attempting to make myself look presentable for the Teams calls. It’s not a good habit to be in and whilst I’ve always maintained getting up at 0645 for an 8am start – well, you never know when they’ll say back to the office tomorrow, I have made no effort to look like my usual glam self. Wow, even thinking about this is making me sad, considering I used to be the Queen of the Skies in full glam at 3am, lashes and all. Now if I put mascara on it’s a treat. I’m hoping that the Sculpted by Aimee range is going to help to put a spring back in my step and start me back on the road to being me again.

Sculpted by Aimee is the brainchild from Irish makeup artist Aimee Connelly. Founded in 2016, the brand has grown phenomenally over the years and I have been really enjoying getting to know some of the products from the range. Whilst wildly popular in Ireland, Sculpted by Aimee is less well known in the UK and I have been really surprised to see just how large the range is. From brushes to bases, eyes to lips there is a product for everyone. Let’s dive in and see what I have been trying out.

I’ve been tanning lately as I think having some glow is the one thing that makes me feel like myself. I’ve been using 3 or so drops of the Sculpted by Aimee Bronze Base and buffer brush before bed. Depending on the level of tan I have, I flit between applying with the brush to bare skin or adding the drops into my moisturiser for a more natural glow up. I’m using Light/Medium so the finish is very natural and light but has a touch of sunkissed healthiness to it. It’s not over the top when developed, and the big bonus is that it doesn’t stain my white pillows. If I’m having a no makeup day, a few drops over the top of moisturised skin does the trick. With hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E, it’s lovely for a burst of hydration.

For a little something more than moisturiser, I love products like the Sculpted by Aimee Beauty Base. A lightweight, moisturising and hydrating base that just gives a little something extra to your look. The pearl finish makes your skin look super awake and fresh. Hyaluronic acid for hydration and the pearl base gives a subtle luminosity.

One of the Sculpted by Aimee products that I have been incredible pleased with is the Full Face Edit in Golden Highlights; an all in one palette featuring bronzer, blusher, shadow and a creamy tint. Perfect for dropping in your handbag and even for those days when we eventually go back to work away from home.

Inside the Golden Highlights palette:

  • Medium Matte bronzer – the ideal shade for fairer to deeper skin tones
  • Golden Glow Powder Highlight – the ultimate golden radiance, this is also a stunning eye shadow.
  • Pink Peony Powder Blusher – the perfect soft pink blush for a subtle or stronger look.
  • A new warm matte brown shadow which is perfect for definition or as a liner.
  • A new rose bronze shimmer shadow for the perfect lift and sparkle for the season.
  • Our original pink cream tint to be used as cream blusher or a lip tint for a top-up throughout the day.

Just look how pretty the swatches are.
