Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream
Why is it that the products that I fall in love with the most are the ones that have the heftiest price tag. I’d heard a lot about Augustinus Bader and it has been raved about by some of the biggest names in the beauty industry. It certainly peaked my interest but as with all hyped up products, I do have an element of cynicism sometimes, especially knowing how the industry works and the people who share it. I’ve always maintained that I will be completely honest and truthful with my readers and not be part of the mob mentality when it comes to sharing products, especially those with such a huge price tag so when I had the opportunity to try the Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream I had to find out if it was worth it. Spoiler Alert – yes, yes it is!

What I really like about Augustinus Bader is that there is actually a scientific background behind the products and the creator – Professor Augustinus Bader is a globally recognized biomedical scientist, physician and one of the foremost experts in the field of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. With his incredible knowledge of cell regeneration, he has created a technology that applies to his products that activate the cells, boosts them and commits them to generate the healed tissue. This technology, more commonly known within the range as TFC8 is a patented technology that has been comprised of over 40 ingredients and 30 years of research and science behind it.
In terms of packaging, the Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream has ticked every single one of my boxes. It comes in a fancy box – more like a gift rather than a run of the mill standard box most products come in. Lift the lid off the base and inside your Rich Cream is stood tall, like a trophy with its beautiful blue and copper hues shining out to you. You do get a pouch to store your cream in or to protect it whilst travelling. I haven’t used mine at all, but my cream takes pride of place on my beauty shelf. The packaging has quickly become iconic. A rich blue tube, suspended in clear tube, with copper writing and logo. It’s heavy, substantial and feels like a luxury product. The lid is also magnetised so has that satisfying clunk. A pump dispenser ensure you have the right amount of product without being excessive.
Here is where it gets interesting when we come to apply to cream. I need around two pumps of cream for my skin and at the moment, I’m using it both day and night dependent on other skincare products that I am adding in. It is incredibly rich without feeling heavy and weighty on the skin. It’s quite an unusual texture as it feels almost like an oil when applied but it doesn’t have any kind of greasiness to it at all. I’m finding it hard to describe as it sinks into my skin but when I first tried it I put it on my skin and thought Oh! There’s not much hydration at all. But as I started to massage it into my skin, whilst it doesn’t look like it’s turning into a watery milk, it felt like it was turning into something else and giving me a burst of hydration that you would usually only get with something that is much heavier. I couldn’t believe just how much of a boost it gave whilst still feeling as light as air.
My skin looks fresh and smooth and almost like I have a filter over it. It’s so incredible to see your face transform. The glow that comes with it is very apparent and this is one of the reasons as to why I have been wearing it during the day because I don’t feel like I need to add any makeup. I do believe that the technology behind the Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream is working as I am noticing subtle and small differences to areas on my face where I have seen the onset of lines and small wrinkles. Considering I am nearly 40, I don’t think that my face matches my age and that I could get away with being 30 for quite sometime.
I think it’s an absolutely fabulous product and I am so glad that I was able to try it out. The only problem now is that I need so much more of the range!
Have you given the Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream a go yet? What did you think?
