My lipstick collection is getting out of hand but how can I help it when I get to find some little gems just like the Revlon Colorstay Satin Ink lip colours. I’ve always maintained over the years that Revlon has some of the best lip products with classics such as Cherries in The Snow featuring prominently in my style for many years. I also think that Revlon are incredibly underrated, and with so many beauty brands that are now available, people need to speak up more about Revlon. After all, it’s also one of the oldest brands around and it has an amazing legacy. Back to the lip products, the latest collection; Colorstay Satin Ink has made waves for the gorgeous colours and super staying power.

Liquid lipsticks have had a lot of bad press lately and whilst they are my preferred formulation for long lasting wear, I’ve found that not many can deliver a perfect and comfortable lip through the day without drying or flaking. In fact, I can only think of three brands who can do a liquid lip properly so there does need to be a new contender on the block. That’s where Revlon Colorstay Satin Ink comes in.

Offering long wear, full coverage colour with a vivid pigment and comfortable wear, Revlon Colorstay Satin Ink have ticked all the boxes. In one swipe, an opaque formula glides over the lips from the uniquely shaped doe foot applicator. Transfer resistant, the formula dries down in around a minute to give a high impact colour with a glossy finish. The formulation contains blackcurrant seed oil, known for it’s hydrating properties and leaves a rich creamy texture. It’s very lightweight and you would be forgiven for thinking you hadn’t put on your lipstick as you cannot tell it’s there.

I’m very lucky to have six shades in my possession however I believe that there are around 20 shades in total. The UK may not have the full shade selection yet but I can’t imagine it would be long. I hope not anyway as they have a Fire and Ice shade which I will need to get. Oh I’ve just had a lovely flashback of getting some of the non UK shades from America and thinking I was the bee’s knees! Each shade is very wearable and I will make full use out of all of them.

I have been really enjoying the shades Your Go To and Mauvey Darling and they have been in constant rotation for my work makeup bag. I think what I really like about these is that as they do stay put all day, when I do feel like I need a little more hydration I can add more for the balm like texture. They just sit so nicely on the lips and feel extremely comfortable, that they are a pleasure to wear. I also love that due to the precision applicator, you can glide these on without a mirror and they sit beautifully.

They are just £9.99 a lipstick and if you get them from Look Fantastic, you can use my code for 20% off.

Have you tried any Revlon lip colours? Which ones are your favourite? I think I might have to dig out the Cherries in the Snow for over the autumn and winter period.
