I went a bit crazy for the limited edition Huda Beauty Lip Kits in the tins that look like plump juicy pouts but whilst I bought them for their kitchness, I really liked the contents a lot. Most notably the lip contour liners which came in them. Back in April, Huda Beauty launched the reformulated Lip Contour 2.0 as a brand new collection, in new packaging and with a new shade range. I have three of the previous Lip Contour liners and found them to be some of the best liners I’ve used so when I received five of the newly revamped formulas I got stuck in to see how they performed. I have a brand new lip wardrobe of very wearable and beautiful shades.

“All Day Wear. Transfer-Proof. Smooth AF.

MAJOR upgrade alert! Our reinvented Lip Contour 2.0 velvety matte lip pencil is buttery soft, so light on your lips and super easy to use.“

Huda Beauty

In 12 wearable shades, the new formulation offers high pigmentation, in a soft buttery formula that lasts. Create a perfect pout with a matte finish. The retractable pencil makes light work so the only sharpening needed is to get the tip to a perfect point. The liners are all named after the shade range that they fall into, which I actually prefer. I do like the fun names from the past such as Cheerleader and Bombshell but having names such as Universal Red, Very Berry and Terracotta makes it much easier to choose a shades that’s relevant to your needs. It also makes it much easier when buying online although the Huda Beauty counters in my local stores are wonderful to visit when I can.

I wear lip liner a lot, and sometimes prefer to just wear a lip liner all over my lip with a touch of gloss over the top. From first impressions when I tried these, I found that they glided over my lips and created a great definition when I lined, and when it came to fill in my lips the pencil was so soft that it made light work. As the formulation is so smooth, even with a matte finish they sat comfortably on my lips with no drying, tugging or pulling of the skin. They didn’t give an overly matte finish nor cling to dry patches, which I suffer from immensely.

The shades that I have are:

Universal Red

Very Berry

Pinky Brown

Honey Beige

Terracotta

The shades are exactly as described and I love Pinky Brown and Terracotta. They are the perfect nude shades for me and will work so well with my favourite lip colours. With wearing lighter lip products and more balms and glosses, these are really handy to have, as sometimes you don’t want to wear a full lip look.

I’m real enjoying getting into Huda Beauty a lot more. I have a few of the palettes and lip colours, but now I’m finding how well the products work for me, I’m starting to get deeper into the brand. Even the new Wishful skincare has been on my radar and I’ve been using one of the products with great results so far. As someone who does get chance to try a lot of makeup, it’s been lovely to be able to experience these first hand and really enjoy what I have been using.

At £17 for the Huda Beauty Lip Contour 2.0 they are at the mid range price point and the quality is fantastic. I can’t wait to add the remaining shades to my collection.
