If you are a fan of Aromatherapy Associates then you need to read this post because Aroma Actives are the little sister that can be found on the high street with a highstreet price tag. I was completely obsessed with Aromatherapy Associates and still treat myself to their bath oils as nothing else comes close. Inner Strength is also a close personal favourite as it is linked to some tougher times where I used the powers of aromatherapy to get through it. The blends and formulations are quite something so to see that Aroma Actives have harnessed those magical aromatherapy powers but with a purse friendly price point has made me so happy.

Aroma Actives Laboratories

As we a now a nation under financial strain, Aroma Actives couldn’t have come in at a better time. Where Aromatherapy Associates would make you struggle to get change from £50, Aroma Actives starts at £8 with the most expensive product costing £15. Not only that but it’s exclusive to Boots and you can rack up your points as you buy. I’m working my way through to replace the majority of my AA products with Aroma Actives and I’ve found some absolutely fabulous items.

Aroma Actives has split it’s range into target driven formulas; Sleep, Soothe, Muscle and SOS and the main one I’ve been using is of course Sleep. I’ve now started to expand into the other formulas which are more functional than being like the former brands luxurious self care products.

Aroma Actives Sleep

Everyone needs a sleep mist or pillow spray in their life. To me, a pillow spray has become as natural to use as turning down my bed before I get in it. I’ve used many a brand over the years, and I’ve really being enjoying the scent of Aroma Actives Sleep Mist. Lavender is the key ingredient which we all know calms and relaxes you, and the addition of Buddhawood, Valerian and Ylang Ylang to balance, calm and centre. It’s a divine combination and sleep is coming easily. I also spray it on my curtains, headboard and around my room to make a completely relaxed zone for me to settle down into.

With the same beautiful formulation of essential oils as the Sleep Mist, the Aroma Actives Sleep Pulse Roller has been a little god send since I’ve started doing the commute back into work. Whilst the blend is perfect for before bed, it also helps a lot with daily stresses and to calm you back to a happier state. The rollerball makes it easy to apply on the go and when I add to my pulse points, I get an instant calming effect and feel much more at ease.

Aroma Actives Soothe

I’m on my second bottle of the Aroma Actives Soothing Body and Face Wash already. This little wonder product lives in the shower and I use it to wash both face and body. I’ve not had a cleanser like this in a long time, and it’s perfect for my evening shower, especially when I’ve been makeup free during the day. I do have to say that I wouldn’t solely use the cleanser when I have been wearing makeup as it is very gentle and I find that it doesn’t get rid of stubborn makeup. Also, as it’s aromatherapy, I want to enjoy the experience of the blend of Blue Tansy, Immortelle, Lavender and Patchouli which is so calming and relaxing. It’s a perfect pre bed time shower experience.

The Soothing Universal Repair Cream Rich is going to come in so handy during the winter months. The blend of essential oils from the cleanser runs through the Soothe range and is present within the repair cream. What I absolutely love is that Aroma Actives have brought out a tube winding key which many brands could take inspiration from, especially with thicker products in tubes. The cream promotes skin renewal and the natural ceramides ensure your skin feels nourished and hydrated, and silky soft. I’ve been very impressed with this so far and I can see it being a handbag essential for winter.

I seem to be flying through lip products at the moment as I experience the driest and flakiest lips. I’ve enjoyed using the Aroma Active Soothing Lip Remedy and it feels really nice. It transforms from a solid balm to an oil on contact with your lips and has a soothing neroli scent. Shea butter and jojoba oils hydrate and nourish and although I do have to reapply during the day, like any lip product, I find that its easing off the dryness and flakes rather than just blocking in moisture. A lovely product.

Aroma Actives SOS

I think I have found the product that is going to help me for a long time to come. With food intolerances, I do suffer after meals but the Aroma Actives SOS Stomach Soother has been such a great helping hand. Peppermint, palmarosa and lemon which are known for their restorative properties to calm and soothe are within this oil. Squeeze the tube to dispense the oil and use the massage head of the tube to rub into your tight and uncomfortable tum. The difference that this has made is quite apparent and I really look forward to ridding my stomach of the tightness I get before it leads to cramps. It’s the next level from Peppermint tea and it works. Brilliant!
