Natasha Denona Tropic Mini Palette

It’s quite obvious at this point that when it comes to eye shadows, I am not one to shy away with a subtle brown eye. I just love colour. Pinks, purples, greens and blues – there is nothing that I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing. On a brow gel purchasing mission, I came across the Natasha Denona mini palettes on Cult Beauty which are a fabulous £22 for five shades. I dropped one in my basket and as they say, the rest is history. When my parcel arrived, I knew that the Natasha Denona Tropic palette was going to be small but I don’t think I realised just how tiny it was but wow, the colours inside were so vibrant and at the first swatch I realised just how powerful the shadows were in terms of pigmentation.
Natasha Denona is well known for high quality shadows, with beautiful shades and a high end price point. I have never tried Natasha Denona before so if like me, you prefer to try a small selection of shades before taking the plunge and splashing out from £60 for an eyeshadow palette, the mini palettes are an ideal way to try the brand. What I do love about the mini palettes is that the shades are not exclusive shades and can be found in the larger palettes. The Natasha Denona Tropic palette which features 15 shades has a bottom row of colours that have been shared in the Tropic Mini palette. As the full size Tropic palette is no longer available, I find this is be a great way to grab those stand out shades from the palette which you can use alongside another more neutral offering.
Within the Natasha Denona Tropic Mini, you will find the below shades
Mint Frost 170S- Sheer
Exotic 171M- Metallic
Laguna 172CM – Creamy Matte
Tiger Lily 173M- Metallic
Zena 174CM- Creamy Matte
The first impressions were brilliant, but trying them out on the eye just made this palette even better. They are so so pigmented that you need a tiny amount, a steady hand and some skill in blending. The trick with these shades is to not pack on too much colour and build up in layers. The matte shades are very intense and at one point I did think that I would need to take it all off and start again as I did go in a bit too heavy handed. The shimmer shades are so beautiful and they pack a punch when they are used both wet and dry. They also look fabulous when used over a glitter enhancing primer.
Now that I have tried Natasha Denona in mini form, I am 100% confident that I will be buying more from the brand. I’ve created a monster, but I like it!

The shades are gorgeous
