Skin Care Diaries: Cleansing Tools
The products included within this post have been gifted but all opinions are my own.
After talking about the cleansers that been on rotation in my bathroom, I have draw attention to the tools that I have been using alongside the lotions and potions. I am still that person who loves to use a warm flannel to remove my makeup, but I have been using two items which have made quite the difference to not only my routine but my skin.

I’ve been using gadgets as an additional beauty step for many years, the main one being the Foreo. I not only own the Luna, but the Luna Mini 2 and Luna Play. I really enjoy the invigorating feel of an exfoliating yet gentle cleanse and haven’t found anything quite like the Foreo until now. Introducing the BeGlow Tia into my routine has kicked Foreo to the kerb for now and I do think that this little device has started to change the shape of my face since I have been using it. I’m not going to make a comparision between Foreo and BeGlow as whilst they are similar, they are two very different devices.
The BeGlow Tia is a sonic skincare system that delivers a gentle pulsation to revive and renew skin combined with an anti ageing applicator to contour the face. The device has a replaceable silicone brush head as after a certain amount of time products can wear down the material, whilst the silicone gives an ultra hygienic cleanse. When the device is switched on, the pulsations are of a steady level however when you press Tia to your face, the pulsations increase with the pressure. I find that a really intense pressure on my cheeks and forehead feels unbelievably good.
At the bottom of the device, a titanium plate that can be used on the areas of your face where you feel need a hand with anti ageing. The pulsation with the titanium plate makes pores appear smaller as well as improving circulation. I did find the titanium end quite difficult to use as first as I didn’t feel that what I was doing was correct however after a while, I got used to holding it against my face with a light pressure and just letting the pulsations take over.
You can also use the BeGlow as a dual pulse contouring tool by using both the silicone brush end and titanium plate end simultaneously along the contours of your jawline, chin and neck. The pulsations give a lifting an effect whilst strengthening and re-contouring the skin. The BeGlow has really made an impact on my skincare routine and I enjoy using it each day. My skin feels very clean and fresh whilst the titanium plate is a joy to use to rejuvenate my skin.
The second tool that I have been using comes from Magnitone. Magnitone are very well known for their cleansing brushes, which shockingly I’ve never tried before! With such a passion for cleansing, I’m not surprised to see a new kind of skin cleansing tool attached to their name but what did surprise me the most was how innovative it is. As we move into a generation where we are becoming very conscious of how the eco system, it’s nice to see that brands are now starting to become a lot more conscious.
Magnitone have released a magical new product; WipeOut Super Natural Bamboo MicroFibre Cleansing cloths. At £20 for a pack of two, they are an investment at first but from my experience, I am quite blown away. Now, I’m not ashamed of the fact that I do use face wipes. As a contact lens wearer with sensitive eyes, I have always found that using a wipe to remove the top layer of makeup and especially mascara helps immensely. I was very dubious to read that the Magnitone wipes remove all traces of makeup including mascara with just water. The first time I used the Magnitone WipeOut, I was shooketh. With just warm water and a minimal amount of effort, the wipe removed every trace of makeup without and pulling or scrubbing. How can this be done? It’s magic! Due to the fibres in the cloth, it can be used hundreds of time with washing in between and I think it’s perfect for on the go makeup removal. I must say, I’m really pleased with just how well it works when I’ve been wearing a reasonable amount of makeup, but to see a heavy face of makeup literally be rubbed away is insane. That being said, I wouldn’t replace my deep cleanse with just the cloth but as a time saving, minimal makeup removing wonder product, it ticks all my boxes.
Have you tried either of these makeup tools?
