My makeup spending habits have been vastly reduced throughout 2019, and whilst I’m still lusting after many a product, I’m being a lot more savvy with money and what I’m spending. This year, the only products that I have bought can be listed on one hand; Drunk Elephant Slaai cleanser, Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera palette, Marc Jacobs Accomplice Concealer and Beauty Powder and now the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Face Palette. To say that I’m proud of myself is a bit of an understatement but what I’m finding more is the spark of joy knowing that I’m not splurging for the sake of it. I’m actually getting use out of the products and I’ve bought them to use, rather than just keeping them gathering dust in a drawer. There was an instant spark of joy when I saw the Glowgasm palette and although I’m still feeling naughty about dropping £60 on a face palette, it has been a damn good decision.

You can see from my previous posts and Instagram images that I love Charlotte Tilbury. The brand has been predominately featured in my makeup routine since it’s launch and over the years, I’ve created a perfect collection of products that I use daily. I’d seen the Glowgasm Face Palette over social media and I did umm and ahh over whether it was needed whilst I already have a drawer of unused beauty powders but once I saw it in the flesh, it was a done deal. A four pan palette in medium/dark shades that will work perfectly on my skin tone both with and without a summer glow.

The packaging speaks for itself. Luxurious, high end and special with the signature Tilbury logo. I do like that the usual burgundy packaging has been replaced with the angelic and ethereal lid. Inside the palette, a generous sized mirror for touch ups on the go and four very generously sized pans of products. Like other Tilbury palettes, the reverse of the palette shows how to work the shades to enhance and pop on your skin. A highlight, a multi glow powder, a pop blush and a bronze to give skin that lit from within glow, and a soft focus finish.

The highlight shade is a soft champagne to light and illuminate cheekbones. It looks incredible when used dry but it really packs a punch when used with a wet brush.

The multi glow shade adds an extra dimension to the glow and although it looks quite dark in the pan, on the skin it has a sheer copper bronze glow.

The pop blush is simply beautiful and this rosy glow gives a flush of colour to the apples of the cheeks.

The bronzer shade is a neutral cocoa that can be used to warm the skin up as well as define and sculpt.

From adding it into my daily makeup routine over the last few days, I do feel that this works so well with my minimal makeup routine. The powders sit well on top of my sheer foundations and creams without settling into pores or enhancing skin texture. I find that I’m using each part of the palette for my whole face. Subtle shimmer and glow on the eyes, enhancing my face shape and a naturally pretty glow. I can only imagine how gorgeous this will look when I up the ante and start using it on a fully made up face. I do feel that you are paying for quality with Charlotte Tilbury and it is one of the few brands that I go back to time and time again as I know that the products work.

For someone like myself who it trying to cut back on how many beauty products that I buy, this has been a worthwhile purchase that has made me incredibly happy. I absolutely love how the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm palette makes me look as well as makes me feel. Confident, glowing and happy.
