Vogue Fashion Night Out has been a successful and enjoyable event held in the centre of London for the last four years. Due to the success of London, Vogue has taken the opportunity to provide us Northern ladies with a great night out filled with fashion, bubbles and shopping, alongside raising money for Save the Children. With over 100 shops involved in the evenings festivities, featuring big name designers and DJs, and also the limited edition FNO 2013 t-shirt, the night was shaping up to be one of the biggest fashion experiences i’ve seen in a long time!
I decided to go for comfort and style so teamed my skinny jeans with black leather biker boots, an Alexander McQueen scarf, covered by my black cashmere cape and used my Mulberry Alexa so I didn’t have to worry about carrying a bag. My hair was tied up in a low ponytail but backcombed at the crown for height. I wore a light smokey eye using Woodwinked and Espresso MAC shadows, and my Marc Jacobs Happy Ending lipstick and GeniusGel foundation.
I arrived in Manchester at 4pm to meet up with my fellow beauty blogger Rebecca from Flores Y Moda. Even from seeing the Vogue FNO flags adorning Deansgate and around Selfridges and Spinningfields, I was so excited for what the night had to bring. With so much going on, and the thought of how many people there would be we decided to visit Spinningfields first then head down to Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, via House of Fraser.
Here are some of my highlights of the evening.
Mulberry at Spinningfields were offering canapes and cocktails whist you swooned over the luxury leather goods.
House of Fraser had real life Radley dogs in I heart Radley t.shirts. So cute!
Selfridges had a fun packed evening planned with a DJ set from Eliza Dolittle
And we had a beautiful hand massage at Jo Malone from Angela, whilst sipping gin and pink lemonade cocktails, complete with edible rose petals. There was also a milliner at Jo Malone making suede peony pins. How beautiful.
Finally, I picked up the limited edition Vogue Fashion Night Out Chanel Cosmic nail polish. Black polish with fine flecks of silver glitter. Oh, its so gorgeous. I was in lust as first sight!
As there was so much going on and queues galore, we missed out on a few bits throughout the night however it was expected that we wouldn’t get chance to do everything. I had such a fab night though that I wasn’t bothered about missing anything. I’d just also like to thank the lovely ladies on Dior at Selfridges, Rose, Natalie and Megan for bringing us prosecco and lacquering our lips in the newest shades!
What a brilliant night, and I cannot wait until the next one!
