The July 2013 Glossybox

Oh Glossybox, I think you may have finally redeemed yourself. After subscribing for 12 months starting with the fabulous Harrods box and cancelling my subscription with the Best of International brands, that quite frankly wasn’t even worth the cost of the P&P, you have sent me a box that I LOVE.

The Packaging.

A gorgeous turquoise blue box with orange coral and star fish images screams ‘Its Summer!’ Lifting the lid to find white and orange tissue covering my five samples, tied up with blue ribbon, I am excited to untie it and get stuck in. It feels exiting and still exudes luxury. A July contents information sheet is included as well as a welcome letter. Glossybox has always got it bang on with their packaging for sure.

The Contents.

In my Glossybox, I received the following. I’ve not used them all to the full effect yet, however I’m very pleased with what I have seen so far!

Anatomicals ‘Spray Misty For Me’ Facial Spritz (full size, 100ml, £6)
Packed with lavender and peppermint, it cools your face with a delicious aroma. The spray on the bottle gives a fine even mist, and this will definitely be staying in my handbag on these hot summer days!

Coola Organic Mineral Face SPF 20 Rose Essence Tint (Sample Size)
A tinted moisturising SPF 20 for your face. Whilst containing no parabens, full of antioxidants and being hypoallergenic whilst providing UVA/B protection, I’m still slightly unsure. It soaks into your face, leaving no trace of the tint. I am quite tanned at the moment though so this could be why. It’s a shame that a 50ml full size tube is £29.99 as if I fall in love with it, it’s quite an amount to pay for SPF for your face only!

Alterna Haircare Bamboo Boho Waves Texturising Mist (Sample size)
I’ve read other blogs where people have raved about this, so when it’s my day off, I will hopefully be rocking some seriously tousled beach babe hair!

Inecto Pure Coconut Dry Shampoo (Full size, £2.49)
I’ve used Inecto products before, and I absolutely love the Pure Coconut creme. I’ve not seen the dry shampoo before so was really looking forward to giving it a whirl. My fringe was looking a bit limp, so I gave it a quick squitz and… Wow! I love the smell, my hair looked clean and had a lot of volume. In love!

Ciaté London Paint Pot The Glossip (Full size, £9)
If you asked me my three favourite brands of nail varnish, you’ll find Ciaté rating quite high on my list. I’ve always been impressed by the different colours and collections, and the length of time it lasts on my nails. The Glossip is a peachy coral colour with a crème consitancy. I’ve tried it on my toes and its perfect. It applies well and only needs two coats of colour for a deeply pigmented look. A lick of top coat and ill be wearing this for a least a week.

The Glossover.

Glossybox, you have gone back up to the top of my list in subscription beauty boxes. I’m glad that the customer feedback has been listened too, and the products we are receiving are usable and worth the money. Ill continue with my subscription for now, but if I ever receive a €1 smashed eyeshadow palette and a dusty boxed lipcote again, I’ll be off!!

Glossybox is available here and cost £10 per month plus £2.95 P&P

I have signed up on your recommendation xxx

  • Glossy box will be pleased 🙂 xx

  • Wow this looks amazing! I have always wanted to try out the Glossybox subscription however have seen some kits and haven’t been sure whether they are worth £13, I agree wholeheartedly about the £1 smashed eyeshadow as I have seen a few of those! Could you please do a review on the Boho Waves Texturising Mist? It would be good to see if it really does leave you with ‘boho waves’ 🙂 xxx

    • Hi Emily! This months glossybox is fab. Ive just sat down at my dressing table to do my hair. I can’t wait to see the results myself 🙂 xxx
